I went to the urologist today. I felt the pain last Friday. He asked me to have an ultrasound to be sure if it's indeed a testicular torsion (honestly I hope it is, since the alternatives seem to be even worse), and told me that it could lead to me losing a ball. Yeah it sounded horrible.
A friend of mine had a testicle removed a few months due to testicular cancer, but my balls seem pretty okay, no lumps or anything. But that pain... second time in my life I fainted.
Sounds horrible, but at least, as Dany says, it's treatable.
Can you get a fake one put in, if you wish?
The worst thing if could be is also the most-recoverable cancer to get...

I wrote here two weeks ago about an abusive bus driver, and I made a complaint to the company the next day. I hadn't seen this same bus driver since then (seeing her was a concern I have had), then today the bus went straight past the stop I was waiting at. I am not completely sure or 80% sure that the driver was the one I made the complaint about, as the windows were a bit dark, but it is quite possible.
It seems I may have been denied service because of a complaint I made. I am thinking about calling up the company and saying if the driver of this route at this time was the driver of that route at that time there should be consequences. But this would escalate it to a much higher level. And it's too easy to say 'oh I didn't see him' or 'it wasn't safe to stop' or something also.

Don't let your rights on public transportation be trampled on. Dreams are weird. Lately I've been having more continuity of awareness during sleep, it's strange how much the 'stage' changes, and how much stuff is liminal or between sleep and waking.
Why are they cutting out that part? The swearing (but not "mental case") I can understand (if it's during daytime) but why that scene? ( It's ironic actually, when you consider what the films message is. The movie about being who you are can't be what it is).

Ah, okay. I understand now why they didn't want to leave it in. Though, you know, the word is not really promoted in the movie as a "good" thing to call people. I'll just say that so as to not spoil something about ParaNorman here.
Hopefully that works out and the problem gets resolved, possibly without firing anyone.

Removing all of ParaNorman's dirty language just really ruins a lot of the scenes; it's supposed to have an adult edge to it, and a good part of the jokes are left without punchlines. Oh, well. Should just buy the DVD at this point - even without that airing I've seen it like five times. Amazing movie, for anyone interested.

People probably have fewer scruples about changing works intended for kids, if they even regard it as art in the first place. Which is unfortunate. Maybe it's some parents having a bee in their bonnets about how their special little angels are culturally indoctrinated, or it's a weird kind of utilitiarianism like just something to keep them distracted whie parked in front of a screen, or some more baffling mix of the two. I often get the impression that people fixated on stuff tend to see their kids as extensions of themselves (like if they raise rude kids, it reflects primarily on them), which kind of explains why they may readily shift the blame to media or whatever, too. Their reasons aren't in the most sensible order.

Can't believe I missed this, but as a testicular cancer survivor, you'll be fine if that ends up as your diagnosis. Catching it early is important.
Losing a testicle doesn't compare to what you would have to go through if left untreated. Plus, everything still works correctly even with one.
I'm getting Captain Falcon once it is released and might get Link and Fix. They look great.
Still waiting for Charizard and Lucario here. Wish they had costumes too. Fox is great.
