Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action Souls-like game set in the dark, Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat. Once a beautiful city, Krat has become a living nightmare as deadly puppets run amok and a plague sweeps the land. I figure if we ever get that, it will be a standalone and not a DLC. But I agree. Lies of P is the best soulslike I've ever played by a significant margin.

Level design is rather boxy, all enemies looking like tin men didn’t help either (then again I didn’t finish it, could have been more enemy variety later). Still tho, good first effort from a mobile dev. But not even remotely close to being as good as Bloodborne.

Most the environments; some areas were pretty bad.

In any case, that was a great trailer. I don't like DLC for 99% of games, but I could see playing through this.

Bought Lies of P day 1, loved it, got the first plat trophy on GAF afaik. DLC looks lit as fuck, didn't need footage for this to be an instabuy, can't wait!

Still want them to follow through on the ending tease for a sequel though...

This is a series of recurring design decisions and not an instance in FromSoftware's games. At least at the start, in late game, and all of New Game + Lies of P allows leveling at Stargazers.

It's very much worth it. The story is better presented than in From Software games and I think it had a better pay off at the end while building into something larger playing out. I'd say it is a worthy successor of Bloodborne while still having its own identity.
