Yeah they usually sell out in a few minutes (!)As a Nuclear Throne fanatic I have to try and get one. Do these editions sell out immediately? Can someone run me through the process of buying one
Yeah they usually sell out in a few minutes (!)
- Subscribe to the newsletter/twitter/this thread or whatever you prefer to be notified of the day and time it goes on sale
- Make an account in advance
- On the day of the sale, log in and start refreshing the product page a few minutes before it goes live. Once you see the button immediately put it into the cart and checkout, only after checkout have you secured a copy, putting it in the cart isn't enough. After that you can take your time and check out normally.
If you miss your first chance there will be a second one a few hours later and maybe a third one of left over stock a few days after.
You could try going through the process with one of the releases before NT so you see how the site works and get used to it. It's not at all impossible to get one, but the window is pretty small.
Reiterating a couple of thoughts from the respective thread, I'd really appreciate this title landing in physical form in any way possible. I already hope an import-friendly version will land in Asian territories at a minimum so that I don't have to chalk over $200-300 bucks in retro-pricing to actual experience this acclaimed piece from the SNES library.Any chance at Wild Guns Reloaded?

Considering the collector market on the SNES original, the PS4 game sounds like a good match for LRG.
I agree. It'd be pretty cool if they could so something similar to the Criterion Collection where they announce upcoming releases about three months in advance. Limited Run could additionally just savor announcing notable pick-ups in conjunction with major conferences or, even better, unveiling them through their own usual outlets on Twitter, live streams, etc. An entertaining tidbit with the Criterion newsletters concerns their teasing of future releases in the form of cryptic doodles along with an annual New Year's pic that suggests a probable line-up for the coming year. There's a wide variety of ways for LRG to tease their audience in order to stir excitement but, ultimately, I confess that I'm a clear cut fan of direct announcements. We already know that Cosmic Star Heroine and YIIK will be launching about twelve months after their Limited Run partnership was revealed given developers are making a reasonable choice to withhold physical copies until a post-release patch irons out faults found after the digital debut. It just feels wonderful knowing that a digital exclusive will land on disc/cartridge within the near future as it allows myself enough time to set aside the appropriate coin to make a purchase. They should consider announcing games way earlier than what they're doing now.
I'd like to know if it makes sense to wait on buying a game if it's gonna end up published by LRG later down the line. [...] I'm waiting because I'm hopeful they'll happen but if I just keep waiting I might lose interest eventually. And no, I don't have that much money to waste on "double dipping".
An absolute shame. Hopefully LRG can keep pestering the demand for Yakuza 5 in order to find out what possible hurdles could prevent such a release from happening. I thought the fact it was a PS3 title could pose an issue with printing presses obviously moving away from last-gen production. However, Atlus appears committed to stumbling out Persona 5 on the late Sony console so the capabilities are present to make a late print of the fifth mainline Yakuza a reality. Licensing issues would be the sole roadblock that comes to mind outside of them just being dispassionate enough to avoid putting in the necessary time to negotiate such a thing.

Wild Guns is actually getting a physical release in NA territories from Natsume! No need to worry about importing. I got this info from a rep at E3.

Couple of things if anyone knows:
- Soldner X-2 has the DLC on cart right?.

Sooo any chance of any Limited Run Games for Wii U?

Waking up early on a Sunday for Octodad.
Don't forget to order the Limited Father's Day Dad Edition Tie Bundle!
Couple of things if anyone knows:

- For anyone who bought Oddworld Vita and opened if (if there is anyone, lol), is there any install onto the actual Vita or is the full game on cart? I vaguely remember some people moaning on Twitter that it still took up some memory card space.
I hope they'll consider manufacturing outer boxes for the limited edition. It would make them much more collectable.
I need to know this too.
Is it just a tie sent separately?
This item is a PRE-ORDER - the ties are currently in production and will be shipped when they are ready!
How long til Octodad goes live? Four hours?
Yes to Soldner, like people said.
New N Tasty doesn't take up any extra space (1120KB), that was just some kneejerk reaction on twitter from someone reading "1GB" on the back of the box and not actually putting their cart in before going on to bitch out LRG over absolutely nothing.
I really wonder how Xeodrifter is going to do. I think that's gonna be the first game to push the limits of 'Limited Run' to see just how interested people are in collecting. I'm sure it's a great game and all, but it's not very appealing to me; has a tiny file size and was free on PS+. That pretty much leaves it down to the collectors to be buying. I wonder if it'll still sell out really quickly or not.
Edit: then again, there's quite a few more copies this time. PS4 Octodad for example has 6000 divided between 4500 standalone and 1500 with a collectible tie thingy.
- Octodad: Dadliest Catch physical disc for the PlayStation 4. Limited to 4500 copies worldwide. Region free.
There are only 1,500 Octodad: Dadliest Catch Dad Editions being released in total (750 on PS4 and 750 on Vita).
Sadly, it's not a typo. This time they are allowing people to buy four copies total, two per platform.

Can someone please explain to me what this means:
"Limited to TWO copies per platform (PS4 & Vita) per customer."
Does that mean I can order two copies of octodad for ps4, and two for vita? Is it a typo? I'd much prefer if everyone could only order one each, so that more people could buy it.
I wonder why Yakuza 5 is impossible. Too high profile for Sega? Nagoshi hates money?
It lets you keep a sealed copy and buy an extra one if you want to.
If the games sell out too fast

I'm going to disagree with you here. Considering these are based on games already available as digital releases, anyone wanting to keep their physical copies sealed can always just play the digital one. It's a better approach that wouldn't take copies out of other people's hands.
