IJoel: I had no idea the new Duran Duran came out this week. Between that and the new Tears for Fears album, it's like some kind of time warp.

Of the "Back To Mine" series, my favorite by FAR is the Groove Armada entry, followed by the Everything But The Girl mix. The GA BTM CD is one of my all-time favorites for going out driving at night.

yeah Groove Armada's selections are definitely fantastic, what i like about the series is that the albums each have a very different feel, depending on the artist. MJ Cole for instance is very old school Soul/RnB-ish, whereas Death in Vegas is folksy. But some are better than the others. And i agree, Groove Armada and Everything but the Girl mixes definitely stand apart.

Stars - Set Yourself On Fire
Arcade Fire - Funeral
Magneta Lane - The Constant Lover

I also made a mix attempting to chronicle a relationship from its lovey dovey beginnings to hey this is getting creepy/I'm a loser to crap it's over and finally the big screw you and screw the world. Don't like how the mix turned out, though. :/

Stephen Malkmus - Pig Lib

Getting ready for the re-issue of Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain. By listening to the solo outfit of Pavement's lead singer...while cleverly depriving myself of real Pavement stuff until the CR, CR release.

christ on a biscuit...wouldn't it be easier to type the album names out instead of finding all of those pictures? It would certainly be easier on those of us who have only 56k.

I've been listening to Atreyu lately. Great stuff, but I can't help but think they sound like a slightly harder Hoobastank. *ducks rocks* seriously though, I lvoe the album I just get a Hoobastank vibe from the lyrics. gonna try to find the Bon Jovi song on the blue bird later.

Also listening to Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road SACD and David Bowie - Heathen SACD. Great stuff.

I am hooked on the Kinks - The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society. Damn.

Also listening to British Sea Power - Decline of the British Sea Power...its alright. Not as good as that Kinks record. Damn.

I busted out The Mollusk by Ween today. Oh fuck, it's so good, dudes. YOU SHOULD ALL BE LISTENING TO IT.

Jason: I've thought of similar mixes... what did you put on it? It probably needs "Baby Bitch" by Ween. I would also put "Precious Thing" by Big Black on there... but I'm fucked up! ;D I also wanted to do a "Hey, Fuck You Former Friend" mixtape.

Since I saw DIG!, my interest in Brian Jonestown Massacre has been renewed. I've been listening almost exclusively to Methodrone for the past couple days straight.

I've also been listening to both of The Thrills albums lately.

What is Brian Jonestown Massacre like? I rather like their name, and they're playing here next month. I'll probably go (if I have time/money, of course), but I don't know what to expect. I could just seek out its soul, but I'd rather hear a recommendation, I'm weird like that! :)

The truth is I own most of everything on the new Cr/Cr threw bootlegs, live recordings and well world wide singles ect.

All Slanted and Enchanted Luxe and Reduxe was, was Dominoe's "Stuff up the cracks" Which had the existing Peel sessions.

Same with Cr/Cr its been released, just not in the united states. None the less it will rock.

Interpol is fucking awsome, Rosemary, heaven restores you in life.
