I just may do that! The night before is Marilyn Manson, and the night after is Ministry... but both are like $30 shows, and I don't dig that much, so I'll probably only for SURE hit this one. It's like $8, in a tiny, ratty, shithole bar. Sounds like a fucking blast.Mason said:Oh man, you HAVE to take advantage of the opportunity to see them. If for no other reason but to see what happens at the show. They're notorious for getting in fights with each other, getting in fights with audience members, arrested, etc etc. Plus they might play stuff from their new album.
It's hard to describe their music, but it's really great stuff. Just download their albums from their website. They're very anti-label so they're on their website for free.

Good! I have a heart on for Secaucus. It's easier to listen to than The Meadowlands because it doesn't make me want to kill myself.Jim Bowie said:
Damn you Manabanana.
Indeed good sir. Someone made a Ween appreciation thread a few months ago and I've been hooked on them since. C&C and Quebec especially. But I'd say listen to anything by Ween instead. WEEN FOR ALL! WEEN FOREVER! WEEEEEEN.

That brings a tear to my eye. I've made many a Ween appreciation thread in the past, but pretty much see no results. Though the people who DO listen, get fucking hooked. I've been hooked on The Mollusk & God WEEN Satan currently. I need to see them live again.demon said:Indeed good sir. Meadowlands was my album of the year last year, and is like my second favorite album ever. It kind of hit me at the perfect time, though (ridiculous, painful situation with a girl and my best friend), and helped me through a bunch of shit. You should definitely hunt down a copy of Silver-- it's got some SUPER rockin' tracks, and I don't think many people at all have heard it, comparitively to the last records, at least! Abbott 1135 is 6 tracks of pop perfection, as well.Jim Bowie said:I really don't like Meadowlands... but for some reason Secaucus makes me want to rock out. It has a bit more of an edge on it.

The mansun set is so worth it. You cant regret that decisionHotarubi said:Hot Snakes, Audit In Progress
Q & Not U, Different Damage
The Streets, A Grand Don't Come for Free
Dizzee Rascal, Showtime
Mastodon, Leviathan
I'd held off on the Streets disc because of how quickly Pirate Material got old, but this is just astoundingly good. Hot Snakes' new stuff is great, as expected, but I couldn't find the new Q&NU anywhere, so I'm making do with the last album for now.
So so so so psyched for Ted Leo this week, and the Futureheads finally get a US release the week after, which is good because I've been eyeing the import for so long. And if I'm ordering something, then I feel obligated to toss in Mansun and a preorder for Manic Street Preachers... All of which is not good for my starving wallet. :\
