Lol, why is this gif cracking me up?

Overwatch is a common mechanic in any tablestop wargame inspirited game, including VC (and DnD).

I was wondering that as I typed my post. Yeah, it does seem like a pretty basic idea to have only existed in X-Com. Still, it's a first for IntSys; interested to see just how different this game plays from an AW/FE, which are seem like they're going to end up being much closer in playstyle than this game will be to either of them.

The fact that Nintendo just name dropped Jack Kirby and Mike Mignola in a briefing for a turn based strategy game made by Intelligent Systems is blowing my mind right now.

If anyone attending the roundtable is reading this, please ask what this means for Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (which was presumably being developed by Intelligent Systems).

when you've got master character design like a lion named "lion", a woman named "the fox" and a dude named john wearing a bucket, you know shit is gonna get real.

Oh snap. Can we base the male character on Robert Downey Jr, Nathan Fillion, Michael Fassbender and Clive Owen and the female character on Karen O and Aria Giovanni. With the soundtrack a creative collaboration between Manami Matsumae, Trent Reznor, Pharell Williams, The Prodigy, Smashing Pumpkins, Timbaland and Aphex Twin? Nintendo is on a roll.

Michael "TYP" Cole:
Eagle strike special move is super American themed and looks absurd.

Neal Ronaghan:
Henry just used an attack that involved using a steampunk eagle. So goofy and cool.
