So it's basically the most cherished Sega IP of the past 10 years, combined with Fire Emblem/Advance Wars, set in steampunk London, with superhero agents led by Abraham Lincoln, fighting aliens from outer space, with a comic book style, no overhead map, and third-person shooting.

'MERICA attack from Costume Quest was also great. It was from the Lady Liberty costume. Abe Lincoln, eagles, stars, banners, red, white, and blue.

I just played Grubbins on Ice on Tuesday and got reminded of this. Anthem, though, not 'MERICA (unless it's named differently elsewhere?)

You know for such an "important" announcement the OP is currently useless. It seems the secondapps but fixed itself as it was saying there were only 3000+ days to go unitl yresterday (I don't think time works like that).

Upon seeing screenshots though my first thought was: Agents are STEAM!

I'm going to assume you mean visuals as nothing about the rest of the game is generic. Funny thing though, gameplay trumps looks.

Yep, I'm talking about visuals. Of course gameplay trumps looks... but come on why does it have to looks so bad ?
Best games have both great gameplay and appealing design. While I don't doubt Intelligent Systems, the character design is just awfull. Looks like something you'd find in a shovelware.

The reactions to the visuals seem a little overblown. Yeah, it looks kind of bad... But so has every 3DS game I have played (with a couple of exceptions) and I have enjoyed quite a few of them.

Female character and main character are meh, but the aliens, lion, and john are all fantastic imo

This game might benefit from some smash 3ds outlines, John and lion have some of it and they look fantastic.

I have a feeling this game will look good in 3D
Gameplay just looks fantastic all around
Online multiplayer will be a blast
