Depends on who you ask. For me, it's exploiting glitches like the Formation Shift stamina bug. I've also heard there's some glitch that will let you block a punt/field goal/PAT almost every time. Other than that, anything is fair game.
Others get pissy when you keep calling the same play over and over if their defense can't stop it. I never called it cheese, I called it shitty defense.
It isn't shitty defense when you're dealing with Vick in Madden,there are certain things that are pretty much unstoppable if you want to do it every time.
Call me when someone whens with an average team by actually being good at the game and knowing a little something about football,not a Vick cheeser.

EA should filter out the cheeseheads during these tournies and just find people who really play the game it was meant to be played...is John Madden at these things?I can't imagine him liking something like that since I've seen interviews where he has said he hates seeing people go for it on 4th down and all that stuff.
Vick is overrated in the game, but the other guy still had a shot had it not been for the fumble. However, if I was playing for 50k, I'd definitely try to win by any means necessary.
I never use Atlanta, nor do any of my friends, so the whole Vick issue never comes up for us anyway.

You know, I'm not even sure they're good players. Neither one of them can kick a field goal for shit, which is pretty basic stuff. And I'm not even talking about stuff that is simply "make-able" like a 30-40 yarder. I'm talking about PATs. Even the ones they actually do make are ugly and barely make it.Mrbob said:

Honestly, if I were EA, I'd be a little bit embarassed that these are the "elites" showing off "high level Madden play" to the world.

I agree that Id probably be doing anything I could to win that game and get 50k but if I was watching these guys playing Id either be laughing at them or booing them.

DAMMIT! You guys had to make the topic! I was practicing strafe catch against MrBob right now in an unranked game. We almost have it down, he was able to beat me 42-35 and we were both just chucking it up practicing. Our opponents in the league = Doomed.

I ended up sticking Troy Vincent and Takeo Spikes on Gates and he could still manage to make the play a good amount of the time since Gates beats the bump so well. Fucking Bob.

Well, I have played with some of the "competition" guys, people who actually have won national competitions. The games are usually not fun because all they do is use exploits every play on both sides of the ball. In a sense, they are the best at the game there is. Just like the best Halo players can blow through levels using shortcuts or playing the way that the game was not intended to be played.
But like I said, IMO playing against someone who plays in that style is not exactly my idea of a good time.

we all drafted a team I got Vick and I dont like seeing him get hit how do you slide with the x box it says push X but that makes you dive which can cause fumbles.
