Looking for an affordable gaming laptop

So I'm on the market for a not expensive gaming laptop.

-Windows
-16-17 screen
-Numpad
-Not running hot
-Good battery
-Quality build
-Non problematic software (I already read some bad things about Asus TUF, a model I had in mind. I have no time for this.)
-Around 1000 EUR

I do not care about performance. Just the best for the budget prioritizing quality (build and software).

Any suggestions? I have combed the internet but all I got was a headache. Too much information.

A lot of unpopular gaming laptop opinions here but you have Alienware 15r3 which is absolutely amazing and if you play it like normal you can expect fun.

Do what i did and buy a skytech rtx 4060 gaming desktop pc off Amazon for $850 and hook it up to tv.

Excellent reviews on Amazon and 2 year warranty.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
But for the budget we will go for an average gpu. So all the rest will come naturally no?

Is this not decent for gaming for instance?
This laptop is very decent in terms of size and gaming performance - but falls flat on durability as it's primarily composed of a plastic shell. It also looks to be about 1300-1400 EUR. This puts it over the threshold of what I would normally recommend for someone looking for one "around 1000 EUR".

The only laptop available (even on the high end) that satisfies the build quality, performance, battery life, price ratio you're after unfortunately doesn't run Windows.

For that budget you're not going to get an awful lot in the laptop space for that money.

Any reason it has to be a laptop instead of a PC?

Sadly, portability is a must for the foreseeable future for me...

Fair enough, hopefully you can find something suitable. If there's a store that does open box/refurbished units where you live you might be able to find a good deal on something, that would be my advice anyway.

Hello.
Are there any resources that track gaming laptop deals? Looking to get 1 or 2 new laptops for the kiddos soon. I got a decent one for the wife in 2019 for about $600 (ASUS) back in 2019. Is a price like that unrealistic in the current climate?

Are there specific chips or specs I should avoid? Is ASUS still a solid choice? Any other manufacturers I should look at that are similarly reliable? What should I expect to spend? I don't need anything close to high-end but also don't want to throw my money away on complete garbage. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Just install the Slickdeals app and you should be good.

Ally X or even a Steam Deck will get you most of the way there. Way better in terms of price to performance, assuming this is for gaming only.

A decent laptop is never that affordable. After months of thinking about which laptop to get, I bought an HP Omen 17 with a 2k IPS screen, a Ryzen 8945HS, 32 GB RAM, and an RTX 4060 (which, despite what some say, is more than capable of running most games at 1440p). It cost me around €1,150 because the VAT where I live is reduced.
A PC like this in 2017 (with the hardware equivalents of that year) would probably have cost €700-800, this is the era we live in.
Keep in mind that I'm talking about 2.5 - 3 kg laptops.

If you want a thin laptop, (around 1-2 kilos):

There are fewer options
They cost way more
They overheat more often
Their GPU usually has less TDP (despite being the same GPU, it performs worse than the heavy laptops.)

The temps will easily go nuts on laptops unless you limit your FPS somehow or perform undervolt; even if your laptop can bear it, you want to do this if the fan noise annoys you.

Check out Jarrods tech channel before you buy. He covers most latops very honestly and throughly. Here is the one mentioned above.

This is my go to resource for looking at gaming laptops.

I like the Lenovos and Asus G14 G15. But those are gonna cost.

You will probably have to look at last years models.

The size don't matter, I prefer thick midsized laptop, 15.6" with big heat sink from Asus.
