Dynasty Warriors maker reveals unmade sequel and Star Wars dreams

Tomohiko Sho says the unreleased game was something fans were 'starting to get a bit bored of'.

Just spotted inside an article about the new Dynasty Warriors game that the interviewer suggested a Sonic version but was laughed at.

Though he laughed off the suggestion that perhaps the studio should consider collaborating on the ultimate "spin-off" - a Sonic the Hedgehog game.

"I also actually like Sonic, just to let you know," he said.

But they seemed happy to try both Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, which I have to wonder, would people even want?

And Mr Sho said if he could make any Dynasty Warriors spin-off, there are two series he's huge fans of - Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

"If there is a chance, I'd definitely love to take on the challenge," he said.

Sonic would make for a weird Musou and I don't think it would sell too well.
Makes more sense to put the time & money on a popular IP like LotR or Star Wars. 40k would be a perfect fit for the genre. Space Marine 2 sold more than Sonic Frontiers did in a couple of months.
