Finished the compendium. Cool story but needs new dialogue badly. For TV it needs more show not tell.
Meh, I don't really have a problem with the dialogue unlike most people.

The monologues from Rick are good though. They'll translate well to TV. "WE ARE THE WALKING DEAD!"

Walking Dead in comic form is kinda awful, but I have high hopes.
Dude, you read one issue. Shut up!

As for the WTF deaths, it goes in this order

Alex
Ilana
Dr. Arzt
Nadia
Danielle Rousseau
Mikhail (3 times?)
Neil "Frogurt"

FIXED

Yeah, the lack of any Eko is disappointing, but just goes to show that there's probably a strong fracture between the actor and the Lost cast & crew.

Not Penny's Boat is still my favorite scene of the season. I recall vividly my pants blowing right off when it happened. I did not see that coming at all.

Its like they wrote him out of the story of lost, Michael and Walt as well.

He blessed Claire's baby...and that was it. :-[
Once he decided to quit I think they just forgot his character, and rightfully so.. don't get me wrong, he was awesome. It just seems that's what they did. He could have been aweome.

I've never had a problem with WD's dialogue. Alot of that stuff will translate perfectly (and epically) to TV.

Especially that bit Costanza referenced.

not big on zombie stuff unless its at least a little tongue in cheek- does WD play it straight or is there some humor?

No, it plays it dreadfully fucking serious.

The TV show will be one of the most depressing shows ever.

There is a smoke monster in all of us.

?

I guess that's supposed to be deep but it just sounds silly.

The melancholy music and serious faces of the lost characters combined with the light tone of most of these "transmissions" is just friggin weird.

It could be fine but I could also imagine it being poorly directed/acted and just making it too over the top or cheesy. Time will tell. I ordered the next trades after the compendium so I am pretty interested in the story.

Did they cover any of the Tailies? I haven't seen Rose & Bernard either.
