Don't hate on Bai Ling. >[
Sorry, man. Bai Ling ruins almost anything she touches. Fucking gross.

Who the hell is Bai Ling, anyway? I'd never even heard of her before people started referring to Stranger in a Strange Land as "that shitty Bai Ling episode." Nothing particularly notable that I should know her from sticks out on her IMDB page.

I only know her from Stranger in a Strange Land and I liked that episode. ⊙︿⊙

haters gonna hate

Many Angel fans here or not so much? :)
Yes, <3 Angel.

She was hot, though. Probably the best that Jack has made whoopie with.
Yes she is. Did Jack even make whoopie with anyone else besides her and his ex-wife? I don't remember.

⊙︿⊙ is right.

Proof that nothing will ever be universally agreed upon, not even the shittiness of Stranger in a Strange Land.

Other than the wife, Kate and Rose I can't think of anyone else.

Don't get me wrong, Kate is hot too but I would personally give the edge to Bai Ling.

How about Juliet? Surely he hit that at some point.

When? I doubt it but maybe when he was over at dharmaville before Kate found out.

After Jack and Juliet came back to the camp but before shit started going down at the end of the season. I remember a few episodes full of Kate going to fuck Sawyer because she was jealous Jack and Juliet getting close.

Sorry if it's already been answered, mock me if it was answered on the show - what was the relevance of the numbers?

*edit* and the hieroglyphs in the hatch?

Yeah that's true :).

The numbers were chosen by Jacob to represent different Candidates.

In my mind, they are special just because Jacob chose them, that's their significance. Them showing up all the time was just a motif.

The hieroglyphs was just Dharma being into the Egyptian history of the Island. Really nothing more to it.

The numbers represent Jacob's last seven candidates. Those specific numbers were chosen because those are the angles Jacob turns his lighthouse mirrors to in order to watch them (e.g. Jack is #23 because Jacob has to turn the lighthouse mirror to 23 degrees in order to watch Jack).

Their appearance everywhere is really just a recurring motif about their destinies on the island calling out to them.

"She has appeared in the show Lost as part of Jack's flashbacks. Her character, Achara, has predictive powers, and is the artist of Jack's tattoo reading "He walks amongst us, but he is not one of us."[4] Achara attests to predicting Jack's leadership role on the island."

:lol

:lol
That's a pretty good synopsis of that episode.

I can barely remember it and mainly recall Jack getting beat up on the beach.

No. Bai Ling is uglier than Kate. That does not mean Kate is pretty (she isn't), but she is better than Ling.

The true beauty is Juliet. Goddam

Going back to Stranger in a strange Land, sure the flashbacks are pretty fuckin bad, but the island story during that episode is actually pretty cool. Jack flipping out on Cindy & the kids, Juliets's trial/branding etc.

Yeah, it isn't that bad of an episode. The single worst part of it is the undercover dude who was some how hitchhiking along that road and somehow knew that John Locke the chump would pick him up. That was silly, but overall I've seen worse.

Juliette is pretty, but overall Claire is probably the most attractive Lost female. At least Claire without the baby bump or the weird scrape on her chin that kind of looked like a goatee.

Listening to Jay & Jack's interview with Jorge.

He straight up stiffs on your question Big Ander. :lol :lol :lol
:lol I know man, I felt bad.
Actors always get grilled about this stuff when they really only know what's in the script (anybody seen the Party Down ep with Takei(sp)?). But I figured Jorge would at least know if the epilogue was more on the funny/dramatic side! :lol

So i'm rewatching Lost and I'm up to the Man Behind the Curtain

so is the consensus of the board that it's MIB who said "help me" to Locke and then shook the camera for 30 seconds? and Ben was faking Jacob' talking to him?

No idea. It's sort of a plot hole right now.

I think they'll address it on the bonus stuff on the S6 set.

Yes and yes.

Ben said in the S5 finale (I think) that he was faking his conversation with Jacob, and was just as surprised as Locke when shit started flying around.

It could have been, but I can't think of any other scene where MIB was capable of speaking outside of a body. Jacob would have still been alive and only appearing in human form so I don't see how it could have been him. I think it may one been one of those things, like Aaron being special, that were pretty much dropped in favor of better storylines.

I've been rewatching as well, but out of order. I've been mostly watching Desmond episodes, I just did Man of Science, Man of Faith and Live Together, Die Alone. So good <3

Yes, I think that consensus has developed recently. MiB sought it useful to really shake Ben's trust in Jacob and to make it seem like Jacob was willing to talk to other people but not Ben.

When did he with Kate? I don't recall. Whoopie is such a funny word. ⊙ω⊙

Jack and Kate were making whoopie in their time off the island, remember the kinky shower scene?

This depends on whether you believe the ash ring was broken or not at the time. I say it was and Smokey was using the cabin to trick both Locke & Ben.

That shit drove me nuts :lol

So when Ben shot Locke and left him at the bottom of the Dharma pit, the Walt that appeared to him was Smokey, and it was Smokey who healed him too... and we all thought it was Jacob/the island back then.

It's funny and sad that pretty much in all the times when Locke thought the island was doing special things for him and in the process strengthening his faith and his willingness to protect the island, it was all Smokey carrying out his plan to destroy the island! Poor Locke.

I wonder if it was also Smokey that healed Locke's paralysis.
