Thanks for the reminder, but its gonna be pushed back cause of the debate over here in the west i think. Which is gonna piss me off.

any predictions? Hopfully we'll get more monster action. Maybe the beginnings of a separation of tribes?

So, is the fat guy gonna get nailed by a giant boulder when trying to establish the power of the conch?

Yeah, fucked up, I must say. Locke is a badass. I will freely admit my first impressions of him were completly off.

I must say.. the few interviews I read about this show before the pilot put a pretty good idea behind who Locke was.. and all I will say is I can't friggin wait!

Woo! Locke brings home the bacon.

Suit dude... is he going to be like the Wizard of Oz? The man behind the curtain...

This show is all sorts of awesome.

Was that big thing that was staring down Locke simply a boar? It seemed like something huge, like the thing in the pilot that took out the... er... pilot.

Nah, it's something else. And it DOES sound mechanical.

Damn, this show is getting even better for me.

The twist in Locke's backstory about being in the wheelchair until the crash is great

Yeah, I seriously didn't see that coming.

Also
Serious Half-life vibes from the suit guy. :)

Amazing, amazing episode. Fury's script rocked, as did Michael Giachollo (spelling, yeah...)'s score. Fucking awesome. Sadly, the preview for next week spoiled the man in the suit's mystery
it's his father by his comment of "Dad?"
Terry O'Quinn is amazing. After a weak 2nd episode this show rebounded in very impressive fashion. A++

I got into this show last episode about 3/4, I have to say it's pretty interesting

Seriously I was busting on my GF who loves the show that thier dead and either in Limob or in hell...each one in a personal hell...I was joking but now, I dunno maybe....

with the widow saying her husband isn't dead, and "they" are probally thinking the same thing about the "survivors", Locke walking again, and that 16 year old transmission could be the people we think are dead....also wtf with that creepy guy in the suit

Last week's episode was seriously lacking in flow. This had it all. Some questions answered, new questions raised..The giant thing in the woods was visited again...a fantastic backstory plotline with Locke.....wrapped it up very nicely.

How did the guy in the suit get spoiled? I didn't see anything in that preview.

Great....so our stupid Canadian network just ruined it :lol

When a show is on an american and a canadian network, we get the Canadian broadcast and ads no matter what....Therefore, I had to watch a "next week on' Lost" that aired before this episode was even over (last commercial break). I thought that the preview was a global one, but I guess it was just put together by CTV (the canadian network)

Basically it showed a shot of the man in the suit, and narration saying something about "Old ghosts" Matt Fox's character trips, and looks up at the man in the suit, saying "Dad?"

I watch very little primetime tv.
LOST rocks, though.

I'm guessing there is something on the interior of the island.
Perhaps and evil genius bent on world destruction.

I just watched the first 2 episodes....damn I hope the hick with the anti-hero atitude adn the hystreical wasp die. Oh and all I have to say is....damn....

This show is crazy. I'm not sure I'm seeing where any kind of pseudo-science can explain away the stuff they're setting up. Not that I mind, but I'd prefer it if the producers didn't mislead people.

This episode was certainly better than the last. The flashbacks were fewer and more revealing of character, and the whole pace was just stronger.

Clearly Locke saw the monster thing. I was a bit curious as to whether it was actually he that killed the boar...

And the man in the suit is creepy as hell. He appeared to be wearing white sneakers too.

Good stuff. I wish I didn't have to wait a week to see new episodes of dramas. It's really annoying waiting to see the continuation of something like this or The Wire.

Jesus Christ, that fucking boss is the biggest asshole I have ever seen in my life. Wouldn't he be fired or sued for saying some shit like that?

I finally got around to watching this episode. A lot better paced than the last. I'm starting to really wonder whats going on with this island though. Sounds like one horrible nightmare. But i didnt get to see next weeks preview so i'm a little disapointed. If is the one with jack's dad then color me surprised cause that would make no sense at all, UNLESS.....

Jack says he was born into being a DR. His dad obviously being a doctor... He had sneakers on white sneakers to be exact what do doctors usually wear in hospitals? White sneakers..... Maybe i'm looking too in to this.

The 'monster' killed the boar just before Locke ran into it, it seemed like. In that case, though: weird that not only did Locke get away, but he managed to drag back the 'monsters' kill. And why wouldn't he say that he had seen it? Why keep it a secret? *rubs chin thoughtfully*

And fuck, I highlighted Fifty's spoiler, thinking it had to do with this episode. :\

It's quite obvious what the monster Locke saw was --
Ripley in one of those robot hauler things . . . OMG, it's a series sequel to AvP!!

The more I think about it, I think that the whole island could be something a la "The Prisoner" in that it's being controlled by bureacrauts or something for one reason or another.

Maybe if someone cared, and from the looks of it, no one really cared how Locke was treated.

Loved this episode.

Without even taking the theories about what's going on on this island into account, it simply rocked. The wheelchair thing...wow.

Lovin' it. Can't wait until next week.

Was it said that that guy was Locke's boss, though? I was under the impression that it was just a co worker who happened to be a huge asshole.

Personally I thought that that part was a little over-the-top.

I thought it was a little over the top when after four years of being in a wheelchair, Locke put his shoe back on, and then jogged over to help Jack. No way. His leg would've been atrophied to shit after four years of non-use.

Don't get me wrong, though. I love the show... just thought that was a little much.

Exactly, that might be part of the mystery. :)
