<333 Lost. Watching this reaction was like reliving it again for the first time.

COME ON YOU SON OF A BITCH!

I've lost track of how many times I've been forced to re-experience Juliet's death. It doesn't get any easier ;_;

I liked that episode in which they go down to meet that physicists mother (forgot his name and hers), and they go down into that room with that crazy pendulum magnet that swings around and she tells them what flight to get on and Penny's boyfriend (sorry forgot his name too) talks about how this is all a game and you are all being fucked with. :lol

Did anyone get the LOST Complete Collection on blu ray for 124.99 on Amazon this morning?

My dad got 2, one for me and one for my brother, for Christmas.

Have you started season 6?

Yeah, just did. I'm still trying to work it out, but if the bomb going off was the incident (as exhibited by the hatch in the first part of L.A.X.) then wouldn't they have died? And would that make the flash-sideways some sort of...purgatory? That seems to be the only reasonable way I can think of to relate them back to the main story besides being all "oh look what WOULD have happened!"

Obviously I haven't thought this through all the way :lol

Not so sure about the purgatory part, but I'm pretty sure they died... I think.

But they're alive in the future, so they couldn't have died.

Just stop trying to make sense of the story. Just enjoy hating on the rest of the season.

They could have just stuck to the scientific time continuum plot. Instead they used
purgatory and the afterlife
as the ultimate foundation for tying everything together. It logically works out just fine, but was a bitterly disappointing conclusion to the series.

I love how Mac has been in two episodes with such a small part :lol

Kate episodes suck. I want answers, now.

EDIT: Fuck, Claire's back. And what does she does with my time? Give birth to her god damn little shit.

The numbers are the "candidates" that are left...?

Is it Sun or Jin? What do these things mean?! (Yes, I know, I'm sure I'll find out)

At least that's an answer to why they're all here.

EDIT: Stop with these mysteries. What is this lighthouse? Sure, the numbers are the candidates numbers, but what does it mean that they're EVERYWHERE? Coincidence?

Just try to turn your brain off. It's the only way you could possible enjoy the mystery part of the show, let alone season 6's resolutions to them.

Great scene. You mean the one with Sawyer and Kate?
No doubt. Great performances from both Lilly and Holloway.

Theory: They all died when the bomb went off.

Still trying to work that out with them being back on the island in the present :lol

I don't get this either.

SPOILERS BELOW
The bomb went off and they all died. So they went to purgatory which took place outside the island as if the plane never crashed.... so what is going on with the continued island story? The people there said the bomb didn't work or something. I'm confused, were they still alive then? Or are there 2 dream worlds after the bomb went off or what? What the fuck is going on?

whoops, somehow thought ivysaur was rewatching the show or had knowledge of the ending.

Still my confusion stands, someone enlighten me about this shit
(which the ending of this show really is)

Nobody but Juliet died during the Incident. Everything that happened on the island was real (as Christian states in the final scene), and the sideways purgatory was the place that they all met up in after they had all died at random points on and off the island (Christian: You're all dead. Some died before you, some long after). The bomb sent them back to their present, and it has always been the case that it goes off. It is The Incident, the event which causes Chang to lose his arm (as seen in Orientation videos since season 2) and which resulted in a large portion of the hatch area to be filled in with concrete "Like Chernobyl" - Sayid, Season 2. Then, instead of being a hatch to study the electromagnetism, it became a place to keep the unleashed power at bay via the button protocol. Whatever Happened Happened.

The flash sideways purgatory is a sort of epilogue to the island story. It is simply a way to truly send these characters off and finish their story. Juliet went there when she died in Sawyers arms. Jack went there when he collapsed in the jungle at the very end. Shannon went there when she was shot. With them all dead, they finally reunited to move on together.

This sixth season is so frustrating. I just want answers.

Who are you Ilana? YOU'RE 5 YEARS LATE TO THE PARTY GET OFF MY ISLAND.

Get ready for the awesome, well thought out conclusion to her story.

:lol

I love S6, but you won't be getting many clear concise answers :lol .

:,( LA X. Juliet dying once wasn't enough. She had to die AGAIN.
And yeah, you're not going to be getting all the conclusive answers you want.
i still hate that Illana just gets shafted :lol :lol

What is the point of the flash-sideways? Is there ever a point where they give a reason for them? Because at this point, they're just taking up time in the 42 minutes.

This season should not be as boring as it is :-\ At least it's better than the first part of season 5, but at this point I'd rank it:

4 > 1 > 3 = 5 > 6 > 2

There is a point, but it's massively spoilerific so you don't want us to tell you.

If you will consider them worth your time once you know is a different issue.

Ab Abterno is amazing.

So, the island is a "cork" on hell, keeping the "devil" in check? Or is he some sort of evil entity that can infect people in the same way that Claire and Sayid were? I don't really see Jacob as a God figure, more like a caretaker. He's unable to absolve Richard of his sins, which means he's not entirely holy.

I guess I should wait for Across the Sea :lol

Its like Ivysaur's about to get punched in the gut real hard and there's nothing we can do about it. Well, at least there are really good episodes before and after it.

Don't listen to the naysayers. It answers everything, all tied up in a great story, with great acting, and really superbly written dialogue. I'm jealous that you're about to experience it for the first time.

If by "answers" you mean "messily implies" and "superbly written dialogue" you mean "dialogue written really ambiguously just for giggles" then yes.

I was so excited for ATS, it's so very shit, almost hard to believe.

If you could get a transcription of the writer room, it would go:

"We need to answer shit quick"
"We haven't figured this stuff out yet though"
"Just use vague crap like 'light', that'll do the job"

Honestly, I skimmed over the page on Lostpedia called "Mysteries of Lost" during season 2 and saw that most of the answers were given in Across the Sea. I've been hyped for this thing since then! Oh no! :lol

EDIT: I'm watching The Package and I love how Little John is back being a total douchebag.

EDIT 2: What makes someone a candidate? Why was Claire not a candidate? Littleton was on the wall... Is that Aaron? Was she on the plane to bring Aaron there?

There are answers in Across the Sea. I reckon the haters will continue to try to make you hate season 6, so maybe it's best if you just wait until you're done with it before continuing here. What should be a fun discussion will just be ruined by everyone who seems to be offended by someone actually liking the show, so there's my advice. Do what you will.

The episode isn't that great in terms of acting or production values, but yes, you do get answers and it will help you put everything into perspective.

whoa man we're not trying to ruin 6 for him at all. And we aren't offended by him enjoying the show.
It has one of the more satisfying character conclusions of any show and the large majority of season 6 is fantastic. But the answers are semi-ambiguous and require way too much extrapolation to determine.

You sure about that? I've read some posts that surely cause me to disagree.

It sort of gets explained later. Sort of.
