I love the rule that he can only take over dead people, until he could just take over anyone for the few situations that it was convenient for the story and/or they had a guest star willing to fly to Hawaii
Hey, "Changed the Rules" might work even better as the new "Jumped the Shark"

Because the body was surrounded by many people

Unlike Christian and Yemi's bodies

You wont reply to this Dave, you never do.

You'll just repeat this question again in a month
Yeah, there was no chaotic event that would distract people like a plane crash or anything

Yeah, like, everybody saw that dead body, dude.
Except not really.

The whole thing made no sense anyway. We later find out that Ilana and the Other Other Others had Locke's dead body from the beginning, but they didn't do anything about that (other than carry the corpse all over the island for no good reason), and neither did the Man in Black (shouldn't he have known that they knew? that's what kept him from getting rid of the body, in your scenario, right?)

So what is your favorite soundtrack?

For me it's a tie between season four and six, such great tracks on both.

The 4th cover is the worst to me, they look like they're standing in a sewage swamp lake.
Well there goes something I can't unsee...

1, then 4 and 6.

Season 1, Season 4, and Season 6 have the best music in the series.
Those are definitely the cream of the crop. I can't choose just one.

First season was great, settting a lot of the themes along with jacobs theme, richards theme, and a bunch of new stuff for season 6.

Also, their is a reason why this thread still gets traffic a year after it ended.

Also, I loved the final season poster, so simple and reflective of season 1 but with everyone.

you're shitting on the music too?
I was referring to the cover comparisons.

That being said, the music was intrusive as hell. Not the composer's fault though, I imagine.

Erigu said:
Or rather "already said earlier", and not just by me either (a bunch of similar comments in that topic). Not sure why you act so surprised.

Because the way people behave on event threads like Emmys and Oscars is not meant to be how they behave elsewhere. In those threads, you can say things like "thing everybody loved before now sucks" because everyone is excited to see what wins and we want to pass the time having fun. We want to see megatons happen, something that will blow us away, even if it's obviously not what we think should win.

An off-comment someone says during a live blog is most likely not as serious as what you'd say if you were sober.

This thread is the reason I enjoyed lost so much, the reactions, the discussion, etc. I think this is what the writers wanted all along, is for people to discuss the show and the mysteries instead of just out right answering all of them.

Wow, that sounds like a fair bit of rationalization there.

Erigu said:
Yes, I'm sure that's the reason, Willy105.

It could very certainly be. Stick around the E3 hype threads, and you will see people behave like no place else. Where a stain that looks like a bear will become the mascot of all E3, and anything below a company executive literally blowing up part of LA would be considered a disappointment.

It's not an old phenomenon.

Even if that weren't a completely silly way to try and ignore criticism (I'm once again reminded of religion), you do realize I'm referring to posts that were written one week before the actual event? Not exactly "live blogging"...

Ah, well.

Ah, well.

The example I used about the bear and the stain wasn't during the actual event was happening either, it was a few days before it.

The crazy may be at it's peak during the actual event, but it is also growing before it (hype). It doesn't immediately start when the show starts. In Emmy, Oscars, E3, and even Lost threads, you will see people go crazy even before it starts. They are all having fun.

Yeesh, thanks a lot Willy105. You're argument is so flimsy, I'm actually siding with Erigu. Never going to forgive you for this one.

?

There was an argument in there? I was telling Erigu why I was surprised about his comment, explaining why I didn't consider event threads to be the same as any other time in GAF. Not much to be flimsy about.

they probably bought the dead body along because they were worried the MiB might take the body. as it turns out, they were too late.
BEN: Why did you have to bring him to the statue in the first place?
ILANA: Because the people there need to see the face of what they're up against.
... and that's nonsensical on so many levels...
(also, why assume there would be people at the statue? there were because the Man in Black brought them with him, and Ilana had no way of knowing he would do that... plus, she didn't even know she would go to the statue, when she set off with that crate...)

No wonder you guys think Lost makes sense: you weren't paying attention.

Hey Erigu, have you seen this video?
Yeah. It was idiotic, unsurprisingly.

The monster generally welcomed new island arrivals with an attack.
Why? The more people on the island, the more likely he is to find some idiots to manipulate into killing Jacob and the candidates.

These flashes of light scanned the subject's memories.
Why, sure. What else could they be? There aren't many ways to scan people's memories, after all.

Most people people feared the smoke as a monster. Locke, sensing beauty in the island's mysteries, noted the light.
Here again, is that supposed to make sense? Sounds like the guy just dug an early theory about the Smoke Monster and forgot about what (or rather "who") we learned it really was in the end...

no connection existed between the book and the polar bears.
Yep, all that stuff with the birds, the stuffed polar bear and the comic book? Just kidding. They were regular polar bears who were brought there.
It's not even a terrible red herring, just a complete change of plans.

[Walt] never showed any ability to materialize his thoughts. He attracted birds, but nothing else.
(worst superpower ever?)
Yeah, he just happened to attract a bird as he was reading a book about birds. Why would anybody think there's a connection?

Etc, etc.

A shop close to where I live has the Lost Complete Collection Box (Blu-ray) in sale for €119. I am a big Lost fan and loved everyone minute of it. I probably won't watch it again for another 1-2 years but the offer seems really good. However €119 is still a lot of money. What do you guys think? Is the box worth it for €119?

I just finished watching all six seasons of LOST last night.

I'm not going to lie, I was so close to crying during the last episode. It was just all so perfect and brilliantly executed imo. The only TV show that has gotten me that close to crying before was the very last episode of Doctor Who during the Tennant era.

Guys, what's going on here?

Read this exchange between Lindelof and Cuse on Twitter.

CarltonCuse
Dreamt about Nikki and Paulo last night. They were saying to me, "No matter what, don't do it." What is that all about?

DamonLindelof
@CarltonCuse You know what it's about.

CarltonCuse
@DamonLindelof Dude. Do not start with that again.

DamonLindelof
@CarltonCuse I'm not starting anything. I am trying to FINISH. "Dude."

CarltonCuse
@DamonLindelof Right. By putting it on twitter and making it public?

DamonLindelof
@CarltonCuse Well look who's suddenly media shy. I put it on Twitter because the TRUTH MUST BE KNOWN.

CarltonCuse
@DamonLindelof The show speaks for itself.

CarltonCuse
@DamonLindelof Once again: We don't need to prove anything to anybody.

DamonLindelof
@CarltonCuse Great. Why don't you tell that to George RR Martin and I'll wait here.

CarltonCuse
@DamonLindelof Seriously? You want to break open the vault because of... George RR Martin?
