I don't know if it'll be anything more than just a piece of paper or something proving they had plans for the end from close to the beginning, or whatever.

I'd love an in-depth look at the different paths the story could have taken.

Ooh, very excited. Feeling nostalgia for my favorite shows right now, just finished rewatching the final season of FNL. Give me something to do with LOST!

I just started Lost! Halfway through season 2. Incredible show so far. I'm already very nearly obsessed. So far I'm feeling Season 2 more than Season 1 but they both feel so similar it's hard to pick.

What's the best season? The weakest? I've heard Season 3 is the worst. A lot of people are telling me Season 6 will blow me away besides the finale which will either blow me away or leave me feeling like I've wasted my time.

What's Gaf's take?

Don't ask GAF until you're done. They'll make sure to either ruin it with far too high expectation or they'll ruin it with overly unfair criticism. Enjoy it and then come back and choose a side to fight with.

Good advice. Might wanna just go in blind from here on out, Riddle. Besides, this thread is full of heavy spoilers, you're treading dangerous ground being in here.

And from what I've seen, there is no real "GAF consensus" on the quality level of each season. Even among the regular posters in this thread, the seasonal rankings wildly fluctuate from person to person. It's a divisive series for sure, and opinions are strong on the matter.

This is the opinion of a huge fan:

I think the first four seasons are remarkable and one of the best things you will ever see on tv. Of course it had some bad episodes, like in season three. The beginning was weak, but I still rank that season as the 3rd best, the latter half is amazing.

After the show ended, I got disappointed with season six, it just doesn't have the same quality as the first ones. I did like the ending though, the final episode had me crying.

I'd rank it like this:

1 > 4 > 3 > 2 > 5 > 6

Prepare yourself to see some unforgettable characters and episodes.

My favorite season is either season 2 or 3, but I think the best one in terms of consistency is season 4. (Or season 1 obviously but S1 had lots of filler flashbacks which brought episodes down). What did you think of the season 2 opener? That's the best television opener ever imo, my jaw dropped for so long.

Season 3 is definitely not the worst btw. I think a lot of people agree that the first few episodes of S3 are slow, they tell you some stuff but other parts they keep you in the dark, but after that the season goes into overdrive and it's all good from then on, with the last episode being one of the best in the series.

Some parts of season 5 feel meh/going in a pointless direction, but I liked it. Season 6 was disappointing but I loved the finale for what it was. I thought it was a really beautiful episode from beginning to end. I would've liked to see something more edgy/mythology based but I still loved the ending.

For me it's probably:

S2 > S4 > S3 = S1 > S5 > S6

Extremely good but some of the impact was lost since I basically deadheaded through season one and didn't sit waiting in anticipation and hype for season two like so many LOSTies. One of the best episodes so far though for sure!

The cinematography, the music, the writing..hit me in a way I don't think a television show ever has...and so far the series has definitely lived up to its promise.

I'll definitely bump this thread back up when I finish the series. The varied rankings just mean that there's no obvious drop off in quality I guess! Can't wait to talk about it..but for now, as per your warnings about spoilers...
