On my rewatch i'm just nearing the end of Season 4. Miles get a lot more screentime than I remember, but Faraday and Frank remain my favourites- The Constant was still fantastic as expected.

My gf's watching it for the first time and we're just approaching Cabin Fever. 'Moving the island' is a huge moment so i want to see how she reacts to it, but i'm doubly excited about the MIB/Locke twist :)

And yeah, seconding a gif of the wet Kate boobies

coincidence or fate???

Oh man, playing through MGS4 again after all this time has made me remember just how many elements it has in common with Lost Season 6

- Both are highly divisive conclusions to their respective series, many fans often saying it was either the best experience ever, or an abomination that retroactively ruins what came before it.

- Both rely heavily on nostalgia, featuring cameos from all-time favorite characters and locations in order to bring everything full circle.

- The main villain assumes the identity of the main hero's dead rival.
It's all part of his impossibly elaborate scheme to achieve total freedom from his oppressor(s).

- ELECTROMAGNETISM = NANOMACHINES

- Mash triangle to crawl your way through the microwave electromagnetic energy chamber to input the virus (un)plug the cork!

- Mash X to view sepia-toned memory flashes from throughout the series's history!

But here's where the similarities get oddly specific:

- At the last minute,
the main hero's "dead" estranged father pops up out of nowhere to deliver some heavy handed exposition, letting the audience know what the entire series was REALLY all about. And even though he was formerly the bane of his son's existence, the dad takes this opportunity to hug it out with his kid, assuring him that everything's gonna be OK. He goes on to say "Everyone dies sometime", and that he should "let go" and move on (literally, like, the same exact lines lol)

I started listening to the podcast that Jorge Garcia and his GF did again..

someone save me from this rabbit hole. I'm looking at my boxset now...

The only good temple is a destroyed temple.

The thing is, I think I tried to defend the temple in the s6 threads. But thinking back...so bad. it was arbitrary. didn't feel like an organic progression. that entire part of season 6 is what drags it down a lot for me. I'm fine with the ending, with a lot of the explanations for supernatural events on the island. but the temple is just unsatisfactory.

I remember they had mentioned the temple some time before we got there. So I was kind of excited to see the temple. And then you know... it became that part where they were at the temple.

Yep...still not really sure what happened. Japanese guy, a pissed off John Lennon, poison, Sayid in some dirty water, something something smoke monster kills everyone. Meanwhile Claire's payoff after being gone for a season and half is that she's plain batshit and thinks a pile of bones is her kid, sweet.

I'll take the much maligned Cages Arc over the Temple Arc any day.

At the very least, it had better sets.
And when it comes to douchey, evasive captors... Ben and Juliet > Dogen and Lennon

now now let's not let our hate for the temple trivialize the cultural, nay, societal importance of claire's raccoon baby

I just realized she abandoned it on the island. That's kinda fucked up.

Axes, crutches, garden gnomes, Locke's flash foward wheelchair, temple idols, part of the shark, fish biscuit dispenser w/fish biscuits, hazmat suit, Sayid's personal stuff, golf clubs, airline seats, and some other stuff that I probably can't remember off the top of my head

Dude's either trolling or a dumbass.

People on ebay or GAF would have bought and paid for shipping.

Even Erigu would buy it all to flip it and troll GAF.
