Well if it's on Reddit it's probably accurate. Those Redditors are all about Science!

I'm currently in Oak Ridge, TN. The place that invented the nuke and currently makes/dismantles high grade weapons. We have an active system that goes off in the case of an attack or testing. And.... nothing's going on.

EDIT: I could also be involved in a massive cover up. It has been a bit humid lately. From the radiation.
 
See, the problem with this kind of shit and the internet is that a lot of people don't know where to draw the line on trolling/joking.
 
I actually went through and read that. I used to work in a coal fired plant as and EOJ before dumping the degree after working in the field and from all the emergency training I went through during the years in that field's studies and training I can say that this is pretty hard to swallow. Theres at least a dozen agencies and local groups that have to be contacted in events like this and theres no real reason to even try to cover it up anyhow as it doesn't really benefit anyone involved. Theres no covering up the papertrail on a hazardous spill disposal, and absolutely no way to cover up a plant failure given it effects the electrical grid, several states, and a ton of other things all of which involving too many people to ever avoid accountability for an accident. Legally and financially theres just no upside to even making the attempt as its incredibly unlikely to be able to succeed.

I'll admit that is a ton of odd stuff, but I doubt its any sort of cover up. The amount of federal power needed to silence so many trails about such an incident would be nearly impossible to achieve and even with that kind of power almost impossible to keep hidden from the general public in the data age of today. If something has happened expect a statement made on it and soon though I doubt that will even happen.

But hey...slow news day. Watch a network pick this up by morning.

I had to battle some giant ants, that may or may not have have been the product of radioactivity, last night.

this shit is crazy, i had a kanagaroo get realllllly close to me on my walk home from the gym. it bounced and just started into my soul from 2 meters away.

Take as many pictures of it wearing cute costumes as you can and post them online before it mauls you and then eats your still beating heart.
 
Things have certainly been "odd" as of late, but I'm not gonna think about it or do anything to try and stop it or anything like that because the point is moot. I have my bug out bag tucked nicely in the trunk of my car should I need it, and that's about it.


Best advice, have a bag, even if you don't need one it's still full of handy shit and will kick ass should you decide to go camping :)

What things? where do you live? how long is "of late"?

I am intrigued, mass psychosis and people looking for links in coincidences abound when enough people say "things are happening!".

I live pretty near there and I know a guy on that base. They do that every week. Literally every week. edit: less than that apparently. But still... When you have most of the countries nuclear missiles (i'm pretty sure North Dakota still does) it's good to have your drills down.

I live on Minot AFB. nothing interesting is happening here. And they run exercises on various things pretty often. Means nothing.

Seconded. I'm reminded of Kung Fu Grip's "SOMETHING WEIRD IS GOING ON!" thread where the paranoid OP decided that any arbitrary grouping of things they found strange were automatically a confluence of dramatic, world-changing events.
