Since seeing it I keep coming back to Theron's awesome fucking robot arm.
For real. What an amazing little use of effective CG.

Mad Max: Fury Road took 30 years to make.
Haven't been to that location but I checked and D-Box is attached to an UltraAVX screen with Atmos.

Lé Blade Runner;163981714 said:God damn that was a good film. I mean, I had expectations, yeah, but I didn't expect this. It was like an adrenaline-rush straight into my veins - so perfectly shot, such a visual feast... And so, so visceral. THIS is how you do CGI, folks. You make it add flavor and visual touches, but you keep the central action grounded with practical effects, so that - no matter how freaky - it looks believable. And Mad Max looked absolutely believable, even though it was probably the craziest visual ride I have seen since... Well... I can't even remember.
Those who've watched it, how would you differentiate it from the current glut of Hollywood blockbusters? Will be cool if you could list down short points.
How in god's green dick did 12 people think whiplash was bad
fuck you world

Hype was justified, movie is fucking awesome.
How?

People are hyped through the roof, it shouldn't be humanly possible to justify any of this.
Because when they go through the roof, they see the craziest shit imaginable.
PLEASE BELIEVE. Go see this movie. See it in a theater, don't see it at home. You'll praise Jesus later.
I think that it comes down to a matter of tastes. The movie is objectively good like someone said before but some people could still dislike the setting/story.Is there anyone here who didn't like it? Come forth!
People are only loving this movie because it's their first time in a long while they've seen a movie with mostly practical FX and stunts rather than CGI. All they see at the cinema are mediocre superhero movies. Filthy casuals.

.Anyone who talks about appreciation of action in cinema and does not watch this in theaters is actively pissing on the future of action cinema. For real.

Snaku da gawd
Well Stuckmann compared this to Terminator 2. I don't agree with that, it kinda overhyped me.I'm not one to buy into hype, but man, you people are doing a good job. I hope this isn't a case like Gravity.
So, I'm curious, how's the soundtrack?

Couldn't be better for this type of movie. And mind you, I don't even like this music usually. lolSo, I'm curious, how's the soundtrack?
I used to, and normally agree with him. I still think that Kingsman is a better movie if we're talking about 2015 but Fury Road is a close second.I don't trust him for movie recommendations.
