They nailed the terrible previews. Man, I haven't watched the Simpsons in years. Crazy to see that everyone is still the same age.
Thanks, don't have season 6 yet so I was a little aloof on remembering.
I don't need the finale to be big or bombastic, but resolution would be nice.
Just an awesome scene with Peggy and Don would do it for me. Those two are the core of the show.

It was strange. One liners from those non-previews routinely stuck out during my rewatch of S5 & 6.

"You gotta go home"

"I don't see any other way"

"It's a dangerous business"

Re-watching for the 10th time right now ( not kidding ) and the ending song/music to every episode is just too perfect. Now that I have seen every episode countless times, they make so much sense. Obviously the season 5 and 6 finale had incredible songs, but there are countless other amazing ending scenes.

Tomorrow Never Knows is a great ending montage song, except for the fact Megan tells him to start with the last song on the album. What's that all about

Man,, I lost a lot of hype after finding out that they split this into 2 short seasons, and don't even have a 2 hour premier.

I usually enjoy Andy's stuff but I feel like he's criticizing Mad Men because it's not fitting his mold of what TV should be in the twitter age. I don't see that as a bad thing

Plus he makes a comparison about Game of Thrones and the teasers they give their fans.. I'm guessing that's happening since the show is also appealing to fans of the books who want to see hints about how they're interpreting certain things. The show doesn't really have to worry about spoilers either since anyone who's interested in the books will have known the story so far.

I'll be working tomorrow night but it will be nice to get home and be able to watch game of thrones, mad men, veep, silicone valley.

Sundays are back to awesome.

Alright. Best songs to an ending.

S1E9: (Shoot) My Special Angel

S1E13: (The Wheel) Don't Think Twice, It's Alright

S2E12: (The Mountain King) Cup of Loneliness

S4E: (The Good News) Welcome to my World

S5E13: (The Phantom) You Only Live Twice

S6E1: (The Doorway) Hawaiian Wedding Song

S6E12: (In Care Of) Both Sides Now

I know I missed a ton, but that's the ones I can instantly think of off the top of my head.

Good list.

The one ending song that caught me off-guard was from S6E7 ( Man with a plan ) Friend & Lover - Reach Out Of The Darkness

Yeah. I think good TV is just a result of the changing industrial processes. Production costs are lower (at a base level, obviously you can make anything expensive), there was a proliferation of TV and Cable channels about 20 years ago, and there are now far more means both in the traditional media and in new media to get funded so you've got more opportunities for good ideas to punch through than ever. I don't see this ending in the foreseeable future just because a few shows stop being produced. Hell, when Mad Men started people were already saying the beginning of the end. There is no end.

My favorite is still "Early in the morning" from S02E08 I think. It was my alarm until recently.

I'll be going into this season completely blind and I love it

I've watched no promo trailers or read any articles about this season.

Excited that it's back. :)
