Re-watching through random episodes right now, and made me realize how much I love Allison;

I wonder what would have happened if Don ended up with her instead of Megan . Not high-maintenance, very down to earth and adorable. I feel like she would have been able to 'fix' Don.

That's the point though, Don avoids every woman that would help him settle down. He and Megan were never going to work, it's obvious pretty early in season 5. To be completely fair, he should have ended up with Faye. But no, better to propose to your secretary you banged on a family getaway.
