MR FrenchMovieTheme: I think my 360 is toast. It froze about 7 times in total now. Ironically enough it started freezing after watching "Just My Luck". I popped in Saints Row and it froze at the start up screen, froze during poker so it's not Saint's Row...anyway, I'm gonna have to get it repaired so go ahead and drop me from the league unless you don't mind me missing those pre-season games.

Ok I think I'm still in, I followed some of the steps here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907586/, and I was able to play for a few hours without any lockups.

I tried some tests with the X360s connection through my network after a couple of optimizations, the thing ran a bit faster, hopefully that will reduce the lag if I have to play my west coast brothers.

anyhow, here is what is happening with the league:

1. we finish this tournament probably by the beginning of next week (hopefully!)
2. the leaguedaddy site is already setup from a stats/roster standpoint (and it is much better than the NCAA site which i started from scratch; the madden site has been ongoing adjustments for a few seasons so things are in more order)
3. i will open the site and schedule 2 preseason games for everyone.
4. said preseason games will dictate whether we keep all 32 people, whether people can't stand the game and quit, and so on.
5. after i have all teams confirmed and everything is in place with the rosters and the preseason games are completed, the season begins.
6. it will NOT be an actual NFL league (i.e. the NFC west isn't going to be the 49ers, rams, seahawks, cardinals. i have to create a league grouped by geographical location so as to get the best connections possible)
7. i anticipate the actual regular season kickoff to be sometime between sept 10th and sept 24th. i know that is a big window but hey it's up to league players when this gets finished!

be patient fellas. taking these extra steps to make sure we have a full roster of dependable players will pay off in the end. there's no reason to jump right into the league only a week after its release.

Yeah the tourney game last night for me was on All-Madden, but I still ripped off 160 yards on 17 carries with Tiki without really breaking a sweat. Pass D definitely did see a boost but the Oline play and chase and tackle are still suspect.
