So what I shouldn't control any players? You want me to not control my running back after I juked the hell out of you twice to break long runs last night? My DE play is not a guaranteed sack, and I am straight up telling everyone right now that 3rd down and 5+ I will expect a pass (like any sane defensive coordinator) I will likely come out with three DLs at the line and I will spread them and tell them to attack the outside. Why not try a draw? Oh, it's the Mike Martz of GAF football, why run when you can pass. I don't understand how Fifty and Dskillz who I have played more than anyone else don't have a problem with this.

I'm settled, I want the Dolphins. Only problem I'd have with them is the running game is a bit weak, other than that they are the team for me.
For Mrbob: LE - Peppers - 96 overall, RE - Rucker - 93 overall, DT - Jenkins - 98 overall, DT - Buckner - 90 overall.

With that said, two of the players who hadn't made up their mind about a team have. I'm using the Saints, and CK the Dolphins. Of course someone ahead of us could steal our team, but I seriously doubt it, and they'd be a dick to do it.

Ok, let me rephrase my complaint. I don't care if the cpu tries to bum rush me from the outside on the end. Because the CPU doesn't take the same persuit angle like a human. Just like CB/LB blitzing the CPU doesn't angle nearly as precise. Have a DE run around manually is a lot more efficient, and it is exactly the same as controlling a linebacker and rushing in manually yourself. So I say we bring back manual linebacker control including rushing because effectively this is exactly what the outside DE is doing. And I kept on calling passing plays that game CK because I wanted to see how effective that rush was. Make no mistake, I caught it early on and even pointed it out to you in the 2nd quarter over live. It was a non league game so I didn't care if I won or lost. I wanted to see how effective rushing like that was.

bring back manual linebacker control? You have always been able to manually control a linebacker.
Anyway, you still haven't said why you didn't just run inside on him to get him thinking about what to do. That's what a smart player would do. Try that next time and I promise you won't want to bitch as much.

I just did in my edit. It was a non league game I didn't care about the win. But I wanted to see how effective that outside rush was.
If you ever play me in a non league game I don't play exactly like I would in a league game 'cause it is more about me testing new stuff out.
Well that might have made it look more effective than it was. If I'm covering a WR and he runs a streak every play, of course the odds are higher that I'm going to pick it off. Since he's a user, not the AI, he's going to catch on to what you're doing and be able to exploit it. Yes, he might have sacked you more than you've liked, but his odds kept going up the more times you called it. Totally different than a money play like a post that the CPU misses every time, because CK was able to concentrate solely on the rush.
edit: and yes, there is nothing wrong with blitzing with a LB. I have done it, and seen it, and it's been perfectly normal. The only thing I remember being banned was manual CORNERBACK blitzing, which people complained that you did too much. Linebacker blitzes take more skill because you have to navigate through a hole rather than just standing at the LOS and blitzing.

WTF we can blitz with the linebacker manually? I thought that was off limits? I still see the DE rush the same way because the DE can run around the offensive lineman very easily because the CPU can't react as efficiently. It is a major exploit that is just as bad as the CB bliz. But lets roll with it.

I thought we weren't allowed to bring the Safeties up to the line?Gun did that alot in our game and it made it that much worse as far as pressure.The whole game was bullshit in my opinion,but I don't think it was an off game,aside from that one fluke where I blew him out I've always had complaints about his DL play.

You cant bluff a safety blitz,you either bring the safeties up and blitz or you dont bring them in at all...atleast thats what I thought was the rule or not :lol

i agree the double safety up makes it hard to run, but then again it should. i know the last time i played gun, i burned him pretty badly on PA passes because he blitzed w/ those linebackers. there should be no putting safties up and having them drop back into coverage. if your Safeties are coming up to the line, you should have to blitz them or i would call it cheese. i gashed guns run D pretty bad too by running quick hitters up the middle. the key is to hike the ball very fast, so there is no time for defensive adjustments

Yep, this is the only way I found to stop Vick. I send at least 1 blitzer and sometimes 2 and I keep my D-Line wide but it is not a 100% more like 70% successful. The other problem is Ram is very good at picking apart zones which means I had to blitz out of man to man coverage too.

Could someone post the rules? I tried reading this thread and the previous season thread to see what the consensus is on the rules, but there doesn't seem to be one. I read "You're not allowed to..." and then 2 posts later I read "Yeah, you are allowed to..."
Also, did we decide on All-Madden or All-Pro?
The reason I was dropping back was because I had 4 people chasing me every time,then add on to that safeties/lbs blitzing the middle and there is no pocket.
And would you all give the Vick shit a rest,I run with him maybe 2 times a game and usually when I do run with him the game is already over.I won 57 games with Tommy Maddox at the helm,Vick has nothing to do with being able to stop my offense.But whatever,you wanna bring your safeties up,bring'em up,its cheese,IMO,but whatever.If you do use the Eagles next season I'd like to request that FMT don't schedule us anymore than he has to because playing you is absolutely no fun,and I'm not the only one that feels that way,but apparently I'm the only one that will say anything,heh.

I know that I want the Dolphins. Why would anyone else want to take them, honestly... I am just making my intentions known.
I will reveal, however, that I had four teams in serious consideration, all four of them geared specifically to beating DMczaf. These four teams: Broncos, Bills, Saints, and Dolphins. Fifty somehow wanted two of those teams, and Matrix wanted the other. Since I will have the better record over those two, I am going with the Dolphins since they expressed no interest in the team anyway. I was looking for four specific qualities and each of these teams have it, and actually I think the Phins have more than what I even wanted. Fifty, Matrix, if you want the dirt I can privately tell you the four things that will beat DM. We gotta stick together against his tyrannical rule of our conference!
However I will say that Chris Chambers pissed the hell out of me last night against Fifty, what the fuck.

As for season 3...I'm really leaning towards picking the Bills if they're still around,I think they are a good fit for me...I just need to work on my D with them,so far Fifty has been racking up major yardage in the air against me using the Saints in practice games against them.

ok, i have redone the leagues/division alignments (not completely, but some). i have completed entire schedules for 2 possible leagues:
a 16 man league and an 18 man league. if malley buys madden and wants in, we can find one more (i will find someone) to make it 18. in which case there will be 6 divisions with 3 teams in each division and 3 divisions per conference. the schedule in that case isn't quite as clear cut (where i can say "You play everyone in your division 3 times, plus conference twice" etc), but that makes it kind of cool because you are playing many people in the league. the one constant in that situation IS that you play everyone in your division 3 times.

I can tell you for a fact that you never once tried to keep any of your TEs or RBs in. And for anyone that doesn't know how to keep their TEs and RBs in here is how you do it. You hit the Y button and then press the TEs or RBs assigned button and then hit the white button or the black button. Each button is to block on the left or right side of the field.
PS. FMT good game, I need to be more careful with my play calls on my side of the 50.
