all this jibber jabbering brings up a good point for everyone, and especially the new guys. please make sure you really want to play in the league because we can't replace people. if you decide to quit for whatever reason, we will just have to give all your opponents forefit wins, which screws everyone else who is depending on possible losses to help them out etc. here are some things that can and will happen to you throughout the course of the season:

1. You will lose games
2. you will not only lose games, but lose games by sheer luck and bullshit. fumbles, drops, missed tackles, the whole thing. it happens to everyone it will happen to you
3. some games you are simply not meant to win. just like in real life, no matter what you do or what plays you make, seems like the other team is always going to top you. tough luck

keep this in mind guys and make sure you are prepared to not necessarily accept defeat, but we dont want any quitters. i know its easy for me to say cause i get some of the luckiest breaks of all time, but you know what they say, you make your own luck :D

seriously though, bitch and moan all you want (i know i do when i lose!), but just dont quit the league or start playing retarded. thanks friends

Great point, and I'll give some props to HG and others, who have expressed their negative feelings toward the game, kept at it, kept playing their games, and are now winning games. Everyone bitches, everyone gets pissed. But don't give up, or else you don't belong in this league.

one last point, everyone plays this game differently. i'm not taking sides, i'm not sticking up for anyone. i'm just pointing out that sometimes you're going to run into shit you haven't seen before, and that's the point. play my offense and then play against mrbob and his rams and see a difference. gunstar blitzes 30+ times a game, DM has blitzed a TOTAL of 40 times this whole season. play matrix and the ravens, then play ramirez and the falcons and you will see the inherent problems that each team brings around.

again, not taking sides, but you're going to see play styles varying to a large degree. half the fun is figuring out how to beat each persons style. and i have played everyone in this league, no one is unbeatable.

Just to echo FMT's comments, I think we have a stable group of guys currently and aside from a few grumbles about each other's play styles or power teams, everyone sticks with it to the end and doesn't give up. So for the new guys, be prepared to go 1-11 like me. :/

It should read:
2. you will not only lose game, but will lose games by huge massive blowouts. Get used to having people score 50 or more points on you. Oh and don't even think about throwing the ball. The other team will catch it more than your WR's will.

Besides I don't get as many lucky breaks as you and FMT. I have to create. -11 BS turnover differential. The worst among all winning teams.

CK, I'm sure you'll change your mind. You creamed me using the DOLPHINS, and we had a very even season. You told me yourself that it's fun trying new teams and playing to their strengths. Maybe you won't use the Dolphins, but the Pats? You can win without them. I'm using the COLTS and look at my record this year. Loss after heartbreaking loss and I'm actually downgrading next year. It's all about finding the right team for you.

I'm for sure taking a super team. If I do well I wont take a super team in the 4th season. But I really doubt it's gonna make much difference. You still need to know how to play the game.
My defense is still so switch and dive it's crazy.

I was just playing DM and he freakin manually covered Moss a couple of times. I was amazed!! That was jedi-like. I actually laughed out load when i saw that.

Uh dude, that was after my all-pro CB scored three TDs on four picks. That's like the ultimate of lucky breaks. You clobbered me in the game right before that in which you got all the lucky breaks.

So after two years, two seasons, numerous tournaments, and a 46-25 ranked game record (not even counting all of the unranked games and offline games) I still don't know what I am doing? Man fuck you. You're the luckiest out of all of us, and you've used two top quality teams these two seasons. You have the least amount of room to talk about anything in this conversation.

At least I can stop the spread dline. Pretty good for someone who doesn't know what he is doing huh? I mean you haven't figured it out yet.

Because they're the highest rated team. I hope CK changes his mind, because they really do make it too easy. It's possible to beat them, but they have no weaknesses.

I haven't seen you play, but I know that CK doesn't need that advantage. He needs a slightly better team, or one that fits him better, but you're too good of a player to use the Pats CK.

Well...that is what the draft order is supposed to help, right? The people with the bad records have their pick of any team they want. I mean, I have heard rumors of someone wanting a team that I had my eye on, but if my draft pick comes first, then that team is mine, regardless. I would think that the only owner who should have a guaranteed team next season is the winner of Season 2.

That's true. It is a bit conflicting for me though, as I've considered using both the Vikes and the Raiders (For their CBs) but I didn't want to be an ass. I'm allowed to do that, but it's a moral issue for me to work out. I'm probably not going to do it, since these are their home teams..although if they weren't I wouldn't have any issues with it.

dudes, if you finished with a bad record, by all means take a powerhouse team. the entire point of the draft is so the "worse" players get power teams and get into the competition more. if i had a shitty season, and i wanted to pick the colts, and someone right below me wanted them, i'd say too bad buddy you should've lost more games! :D

The best teams in the NFL are the best teams in the game (Pats, Steelers, Eagles, Falcons)

I can't help you with the RBs because everyone runs differently in the game..well, I could post their ratings, but it's so much easier for you to just look yourself.

I won't be upset if someone takes the Vikes. I'd really like to use them, but I don't hold grudges.
