I'm just waiting for a patch so the game doesn't lock up. I rarely play online anymore because of the problems. Do we know when that will be out?

That DLC can't be more that 400 points can it be?

They did say that a free patch with bug fixes and a concede option would precede the for-pay DLC. The pay DLC is "this year," and nothing more specific on the patch.

The patch/content was sent to MS for certification about 2 weeks ago. They said the process would take 30-60 days though :(

There's a new patch for this that I downloaded yesterday. Some things I noticed so far:

- You can't quit games, but you can concede.
- Used Put Away 4 times now, and it worked properly each time.
- No longer can see what colors your opponents are using before the game starts
- I don't believe Dread kills enchantments/artifacts anymore

I didn't try any 4 player matches so I'm unsure if those are more stable, but I didn't have a single lock-up or problem with turns not ending.

Hopefully this means we'll be getting DLC soon. The content included in it will determine if I ever play the game again or not though. Some things I need to see -

At least 4 new decks
More cards for the current decks. 15 new cards that compliment or allow a deck to function completely different would really be nice.
Ability to customize the number of lands in each deck

I'm guessing demands 2 & 3 won't happen. I don't expect it to and the game is still a great bargain if they don't happen. But not having more customization makes the decks get stale and keeps this game almost entirely dependent on luck. I don't mind having a level playing field of deck/card options, but there needs to be more wiggle room.

I would also like the option of mixing cards from different decks to create our own. If there was some kind of point system within the game that allowed us to pick and choose cards of different point values it could really make this game shine. Deck building is one of the cornerstones of MTG, and providing a limited option for players could do more to draw interest in the real game.

I'm sure I'm not saying anything new but I figured I'd throw my tl,dr portion in along with the little patch update news :p

This is the most important, ranked matches where there is no penalty for quiting is ridiculous, about to die... quit and no loss and no win for me. Sons of Bitches... long overdue.

Yup, it's definitely nice.

I've noticed a lot more use of the elf deck now that we can no longer see what our opponent is playing. They really need to have a lot more variety.

The Elf deck is by far the best... I'd like to see some new precons, or the ability to remove cards from the main deck. I mean you just add cards without the ability to change the mana-base?

I like black against elves. I think I had like 10-game win streak on ranked with that matchup for a while. I do think it would be cool if they encourages people mixing it up though. Just w/ friends I'll do something like best of 7 and you can't use the same deck twice.

There's three new decks and a few new unlockable cards added to every deck already in the game, according to what they've said so far.

Hmm... Is there a website with updates on this? Only getting 3 new decks is pretty disappointing, but it may not be so bad if there are enough unlockable cards to make it not feel like everyone is playing the same exact decks. I wish they'd unlock the Tezzerret (sp?) deck too :(

I think they are. Is certification seriously delaying this like two months? This thing just feels so late. Ah well.

anybody every try playing persuasion on Razormane Masticore? I did it once and it locked up when my turn started and it gave me the option to shoot a creature.

That's about the best we got.

And yeah one of the 3 new decks is Tezzerets Black/Blue artifact deck.

Ahh, yeah I saw that. Was hoping there was more current info. Tezzeret is 1 of the 3 decks? Maybe I was greedy in hoping it'd be 3 + unlocking Tezzeret as well :lol

I think it's best for me to expect nothing and hope to be surprised. I don't dare get into MTGO and I don't really have anyone to play my physical cards with anymore, so this is the best I got. :'(

I've seen some pretty funny glitches but haven't tried that yet. One of my favorite glitches was when playing a 2-headed giant game there were all these weird symbols randomly placed on the screen. Also, some of the pictures of the cards were changed to look like a box, inside a box, inside a box.

ugh so I played a blue mirror match ranked game and through meticulous use of counters I overcame my opponent, he conceded, but I did not get the damn spellslinger achievement, even though my opponent had it. Ugh.

I can give it to you later, if you want. But I really need to try to sleep. (Fucking insomnia)

I would like to play a Two headed Giant game (for the achievement) but i can't seem to get it to work.

I got one account with live and three other account my friends made on my xbox.

I start the game with my gold account. (Mr YuYu) then the second player launches his account. But then i get some error stating that the second account isn't gold or something???

Am i doing something wrong or do I really need 2 gold accounts to play this??

Anyone got an idea what i am doing wrong?

Also, does the DLC add any achievements?

Thx in advance!

Very nice price point on the DLC, I'll be picking it up.

For the co-op campaign, I just plugged in a second controller, created a new, silver account for the second controller (although I'm not even sure that was necessary), and then signed into it when I was on the co-op deck select screen or whatever. Never had any problems at all.

what i hate the most is that in two-headed coop you can't choose 1st players decks....noo it has to be from 2nd players profile which is never played so all he has is red or green it's so fucking stupid this whole profile shit. It's in every fucking game.

This is a good value, but adding 3 cards won't really help any deck much - especially since you still can't take out the stock cards. The red deck would be so much better if I could get rid of the ogres and elementals.

We also need to have the option to configure how much mana we put in a deck. The dragon deck is only ever really good in multiplayer games because mana is seemingly feast or famine. Mana, Mana, Mana, Rampant Growth, Annoying 3 cost elf that doesn't even put the mana in play, mana, mana.

And on and on.

The biggest issue I have with the game is that it relies even more on luck than strategy when compared to the card game. There are so many filler, shit cards in many of the decks that the whole time you're playing you're praying to get that 1 good card that can save you. The blue deck wouldn't need as many card drawing spells if it didn't allocate 6-7 worthless cards (the fliers that can't block on land). The 4 artifacts in every deck for generating life wouldn't need to be there if the rest of the deck was constructed better. etc etc

Tezzerett deck should be fun. They need to speed up the resolving of some abilities that don't really have a counter though, or 50% of the time will be spent waiting for Howling Mines / Racks & Underworld Dreams resolving. :lol

I'll quit complaining because despite these annoyances, the value of the package is really hard to beat.

Allowing editing would be great, but with the game having so few cards in it, there would be little to no point since everyone will just quickly find the most efficient builds. The card games strength lies in the wide array of cards to create so many different types of decks, this game just doesn't have enough cards to really justify an editor. Instead of letting people edit with the few cards included, everyone is just put on equal ground from the start.

Yeah i was using the Teeth of the Predator deck, Verdant Force FTW. If only I could put Coat of Arms in it....

The elf deck I can imagine getting some ridiculous numbers.

3 decks maxed out now
I've done 22,000 w/ the elf deck before... it gets pretty ridiculous me and some friends were thinking about seeing how high you can get before the game crashes when we're bored someday. (2 headed Giant all 4 elf decks w/ all the coat of arms possible)

The best case scenraio I see with the red deck is that they give you three copies of a badass enchantment that speeds the deck up.

The red deck is supposed to get Earthquake, which is a great spell. The Elf deck would fold like a house of cards to that spell alone.

all of those complaints are spot on though. everyone knows it. its a flawed game, but its also quite awesome and fun. (im agreeing with you 100%)
