I don't know exactly why it is, but car forums seem to be the place to go to find cases of self-ownage. I think the classic example would be this beauty from 2007.
Now joining the pantheon of morons that post their business on the internet thinking that there will never be a cross-over between their online life and their real life is billz1109. Billz seems like a nice guy, just trying to make ends meet while having enough money to pimp out his Acura. Unfortunately for Mr. Billz, he is saddled with a nagging "wife" who neither understands his love for said Acura, nor appreciates the effort he puts into taking care of his responsibilities and begrudges him the few nickels he saves to rub together to put into his beloved Acura TL. Naturally, he turns to his fellow Acura enthusiasts for a little bit of venting and reassurance that his is, in fact, the dopest shit around:

Mr. Billz's misfortune is magnified when he retires for the evening for some cigars and brandy after a hard day of providing for his family, and not only forgets to log out of his Acura forum, but also leaves the web page up for his harpy to find. Needless to say, this unappreciative wench is displeased at Mr. Billz's lack of discretion, and takes great offense to his public disclosure of their private affairs. She strikes back by misappropriating our feckless hero's account and posting:

Needless to say, forum sentiment--which already wasn't with him prior to his wife posting--turns even more sharply against him. His "wife" gets her own account and basks in the glow of his failure. Good times indeed. Here's a link to the thread in question: http://www.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=770786 His fellow Acura enthusiasts get in some good shots at him as the thread goes on, with the forum mods even joining in the fun.
Ban Cyan if this is old. Google search didn't turn anything up, and I didn't see it on the first few pages.
