this is the closest to a World's Finest movie that we've had so farThis reminded me of back in 2006 when Christian Bale one "Best Hero" for Batman Begins at the MTV Movie Awards, with the award being presented by Brandon Routh and Kevin Spacey. I was a frequent poster on the (now defunct) bluetights.net forums in the year or so leading up to the release of Superman Returns, and man, people went photoshop-crazy with this image:

I was just trying to illustrate the clear problems with most Luthor writing. You either get the powersuit or Returns type stuff where kryptonite/lifting/race against time/all of the above. But we're starting to get into some deep water about the nature of superhero comics and etc.

like with watchmen, i dont care as long as the film is good. if the film is bad (i dont think/hope it will be) and makes a billion, thats when i will be pissed.
If the movie is awesome that I think it will be, whatever is necessary to green light a sequel with Snyder, so maybe what? $500 Million is enough?

World wide? I don't see why not. Superman is more well known world wide. So if there's a good Superman movie with great action, I can see tons of people going to see it.

And Nolans name will be all over the marketing, remember Inception getting over 800 million?
I can see it nearing the 1B mark, probably mostly due to Nolan having his name up there. But if this hits the box office hard like TDK, then it'll be the film of the Summer and the gross should skyrocket.
