Hey, I said 'if'!

So technically there is no 'fuck you' if it's not a spoiler!

You said if that is a scene in the movie, and it probably is because it looks like a scene from the trailer.

It's really fucking annoying to see you on your high horse about consideration for other posters when you're always pulling this kind of shit.

These posters usually put heroes in scenes that are more reminiscent of the comics rather than the film. At least, that's what I'm hoping, because that'd be a pretty big gosh darn spoiler.

What are you talking about man? You don't remember KNIFE HANDS BATMAN from TDKR?

You haven't seen the Comic Con trailer then?

Guess it's time for a rewatch because I don't remember that particular moment either. Could someone screencap it or something, I don't have the trailer with me right now.

Edit: Just saw the screencap, and you can't make out barely anything. Is he covered in skulls?

I remember seeing one of the early comic-con bootlegs with 'Journey to the Line', but don't remember anything like that. Of course, everything was super blurry.

But yeah, even if it's official, it's super fucking spoilery ala Prometheus materials spoiling everything in that terrible film.

I have never seen the trailer, I assume it's been taken down everywhere on the interwebs? Must bing..

... I feel we shouldn't discuss it publicly. Want to spoiler tag that?

It's actually up on YouTube. 1:30

This is a new low even for you.

The past few pages we've had many people (Matrix included, who has also expressed concern at what has been posted above) want spoilery stuff tagged, or linked ala the
Faora
pictures from Empire.

It's already been established that studios give zero shits about spoiling the plots for their films if it means selling them by raising new hype for new footage. And yes, Prometheus is a very good example of just such a campaign. You can piece 95% of that film from the marketing materials put out by the studio. Oblivion is the most recent example.

At this point I think a new thread needs to be made to post all sorts of stuff, such as spoilers, posters, pics, etc. This was a trailer thread that's just kept going. They do the same stuff at Superherohype, not sure why it should be that hard to do that here.

And it was blurry and unless you're a die hard as hell Superman fan who's watched the comic con trailer a million times like *me* it's easy to forget that scene.

That doesn't mean you get to say fuck you to anyone who speculates about the material that is officially released.

I wasn't saying 'fuck you' for speculation. I was giving a hearty 'fuck you' for those that posted that poster out in the open and remarked about it being a scene in the film.

While it's certainly worth being cautious about potential spoilers, all I said was that a poster with Superman standing on skulls had me excited for a certain scene from a trailer you watched a few months back.

It's a pretty ambiguous statement. It's not like I detailed something like "Oh, I can't wait for when Superman lifts the yacht out of the ocean and saves Lois & Jason!"

I gotcha. I pieced together the entire plot for a few movies with exceptionally little material before, but I also study script writing and have written my fair share of scripts, so it's kind of hard not to see it as a puzzle/challenge and want it to all come together.

Sorry Kalboa, as I've already explained, after I read your 'I can't wait for this scene' right below the image, I stopped reading for fear of being spoiled more, so I had no idea you were speculating.

You've got Matrix, the resident Superman fanboy in this thread similarly miffed, so it's not like I was alone in thinking it was a huge spoiler.

It's cool. I'm just assuming something, is all. Frankly, there's a LOT of skull imagery in these posters and I bet it's based on the marketing team trying to bring in some teenage yeah dudes and the CoD crowd.

Or maybe they watch to much Smallville.

(The only bad Zod episode, imo)

Oh nice thanks.

He seems to be reaching out for help, like he's being pulled down by a crowd or something. I don't know much about Supes but it reminds me of the Phantom Zone stuff from Smallville

My guess?

Nightmare about alienation.

Hey Guys !

Remember when Superman was the good guy of this movie ?

Thats the twist. Zod is actually the hero and here to save us from Kal-El.

Clearly, going by the second to last poster, Brainiac shows up in his skull ship in the post-credits scene to fix shit leading into the sequel The Superior Super-Man.

I like how an innocent poster gets left off for spoiler reasons but the real spoiler poster gets quoted 30 times

I also don't think those images make Superman look evil.

Some posters show some imagery from the Comic Con trailer, but Superman looking imposing is no different than any Batman/Avengers/Wolverine branding we've seen.

I mean, c'mon, these are posters for 12 year olds. Cut them some slack.

Yeah, it's puzzling. Simo, get a tighter leash on this stuff please. :)

Hey man I spoilered the poster that was an actual scene! The poster in question seems about spoilerish as the one of the giant skull....they're just "edgy" posters for 14 year olds and most of them are reusing old Jim Lee artwork but rendering the new suit on it.

Haaaaaaaaaahahaha

You should really watch the whole thing. Or just read Action Comics 775.

Yeah, it's one of the best mainstream comics ever published.

And it makes a point that's polar opposite to any worries about Superman becoming too edgy or dark.

Alright cool.

Anyway, how long till this trailer hits now? 20 hours or some shit?

Means nothing to me, I'm in Aus. Where's this countdown?

Ta. Though I guarantee you that - like the viral spot and Trailer 2, it will hit WB's youtube channel first.

No doubt as that page will likely link to the Youtube video.

So looks like as of right now its 18 hours and 46 minutes, which should also be right around the time Warner Bros. is doing their CinemaCon presentation in Vegas.

The only thing I think it is spoilerish about those posters is the one that makes it looks like
Zod has 6 henchmen

Zod's suit looks amazing. It's going to be awesome seeing Supes and Zod duke it out. Also, I wonder if Zod will utter his famous line.

that was only ever uttered in the movie, it has very little to do with the actual character of Zod.

If that is indeed representative of a scene in the film, then let me just say a big fuck you.

I witnessed the wrath of Scullibundo during the TDKR threads. This is one man you don't want to spoil!

Sculli get a grip on yourself.DO NOT ruin the Superman thread like you did the Batman ones.
