Actual Answer: His tastes align with mine more than anybody else on this board and oftentimes he'll find overlooked or esoteric series that I would not have found otherwise, so I pop in every now and again to see if he's uncovered something I missed that I might enjoy.

Doubt it. Ishida has said in the past that a ghoul can regenerate even with the torso removed. She's playing with him. Even if she was messing with him I do think Kaneki is strong enough to almost match her. He reached SS in 6 months, imagined if he surivied V-14, and lived these 3 years.
Kaneki is gonna get some serious creds back at the CCG. Lots of questions i'm having right now regarding him staying with them. Good bye Haise you bored me for too long.

This was a sentence weird enough to get my attention, so I started reading Drifters and I'm loving the hell out of it. The core premise is something that I've seen used often enough, but oddly never in any of the manga I've read, and it's extremely well executed here. There's a lot of classic time travel/alternate history beats here and it makes for a very pleasant mix with the Seinen action stylings. Stuff like Nobunaga realizng the ridiculous power of the communication stones or the musing on the role of guns, fantastic stuff.

That's what I'm hoping.. I definitely agree on the second point, but I would expect something more like the fight with Shachi, rather than the fight with Jason (pretty similar, I definitely think this is meant to parallel it). If it ends like this... way too anticlimatic.

So, while I should be preparing for my finals, I decided to take a break and starting reading something new. After strolling through Manga-GAF comments I decided to give Horimiya a try, given that I haven't read a manga of this kind in a while.
I. Regret. Nothing.
I went from 1 to 38 like it was nothing and I will probably keep reading after posting this. Man, this manga is giving me some serious diabeetus and I love it. It's hitting all the right spots, even if the pace slows at times. And for once there is actual progress on the main couple, unlike many other manga out there.
Special mention to chapter 37 not just for the
but for how it was handled. It actually felt pretty realistic, specially the final part with Souta. I can even relate a little bit, because I remember going through something similar with one of my older brothers while I was like 8. So all in all, pretty good.

Nah, the breadth of Zweizer's preferences is wider than most here. Although he tend to drift into some uncharted territories once in a while.
