Attack on Titan 86

So some mystical awakening or deal gave them Titan powers and basically after ruling the world they lost to the former empires resistance that stole their powers which lead them to be basically slaves in ghettos having tags like the Jewish People before WW2 in Germany.

The Titan King fled of these now enslaved people fled to a island near the continent and set up the Walled Kingdom we know in AoT today.

Also what happened to his sister got me... fucking scumbags.

Anyway King Fritz the King of the Titan people who ran away to that Island to set of a enclosed Kingdom had the Titan power to control other Titans as we all know but before he ran away to form a small new Kingdom he inherited the throne but neglected the Titan civil war that was going on due to his lack of resolve to fight. Thus the Mare or current ruling Kingdom used such passiveness to their own gain.

Weird that technology eventually fully adapted to the point there were warships and biplanes. Because of it, conveniently the Titan people that wanted to regain the power of the Progenitor Titan, the Alodians and the ruling Meer Kingdom had the same interest. Still dude having another son is interesting and what is even more interesting is his son (who he placed in Meer training in order to kill two birds with one stone) told the Meer kingdom of the Alodian uprising. Which leads us to wondering if the Titans attacking the Walled Kingdom right now are Alodians who have ulterior motives in order to defeat their masters the Meers or is it just the Meers.

Would have been terrible if we didn't get some animal cosplay from the bear meat. Glad that's already solved.

So many varieties. Tough to pick one.

Attack on Titan ch86

I was hoping for some outlandish shocking truth, but instead we get boring revenge porn backstory. Bleh.

Ok. was hoping the outside world was different than reality with weird technology and steam punk like. maybe it is now since this chapter was a flashback?
At least it didn't turn out to be a "scientific experiment"

I am gonna put attack on titan on hold for another 3 years again and read all the chapters in one go.

More information is nice, but I am finding it really hard to care. It seems like adding layers for the sake of adding layers, especially when one introduces "races" into the mix. Isayama is also creating more things that need to be resolved and if he is honest about when he wants to end the series, I can't see this ending well because he will have to rush certain elements. But then again money talks.

Kaguya Wants to be Confessed To: The Geniuses' War of Love and Brains 37

Ishigami what have you done!

The turn away blush from both of them was pretty hilarious and Kaguya is getting better and better faces as she gets more and more emotional.

BE A MAN AND TAKE HER DICK

Zannen Jokanbu Black General-san 14

Such a good boss. If there's a better girl than General-san I have not met her.

Shokugeki no Soma

I guess its time to see Soma beat Hayama. Given the stakes of being expelled, he's obviously not going to lose. I hope they show the Tadokoro and Takumi match though.

Someone has to lose in Shokugeki no Soma though right? I mean if ALL the resistors beat all the e10 members who impede their progress either the e10 is gonna look like a huge batch of jobbers or "we let them pass" nonsense

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.

Of course, but it's not going to be anyone important.
Sakaki, Yoshino, Marui, the two guys that nobody cares about. I imagine they'll be gone. Maybe Isami. Everyone else will stay.

I'm wondering though, how many would fail. I'm sure the Aldini's, Tadokoro Alice and Kurokiba will pass, but everyone else from the dorm are pretty minor characters. I don't really see them beating any of the elite 10 members unless they hold back and let them pass. Or they're up against the new e10 members who could be shitty because we don't really know them.

Shingeki no Kyojin

I really like this. It's like Claymore except way better realized and with way better characters.

Wow, did sales drop or is Akamatsu going all out tying UQ to his previous work?

The upcoming chapter is like 60 pages of Asuna and Negi, so they're moving into the phase of just resolving Negima's plot.

I wonder if Tamayo will get more development soon.

What is Devil Line?

Love story between a half vampire and a human girl, more or less. Well... that's quite reductive and not completely right but in a way it's not too far from the truth, as that love story is advancing the plot.
I've read the first two volumes and it's not too bad. Nothing too deep but enjoyable.

I might check it out some time in the future. I need more reading material since anime seasons have been indifferent for me.

Tokyo Ghoul: re 96

and I feel like I've seen none of you before!

Tomo-chan 436

Carol had more romantic moments with Tomo in a handful of chapters than Jun in all of the manga.

Fairy Tail 505

Good thing that the manga cheapened death so much, even if it were really true, one would just shrug in surprise.
And nice rational "Yes, I know we would survive with your plan, but let me kill myself because reasons"

Attack of the Titans has never been bad, but its kind of funny how its fanbase acts like they're long suffering or that the search for the basement was like getting off the boat or something.

Fairy Tail 505
Most forced death ever. I don't even care.

I don't think it's going to stick anyways.

Think about this: a character who was introduced posthumously is now alive. Mavis Vermilion was introduced as a ghost, but then it turned out to just be an astral projection and that Mavis is both alive and not in any particular danger.

Yup. He ain't dead.

UQ Holder

It's like the genre shift of Negima as a series in one single chapter. Goofy harem antics and slice of life stuff at the beginning and by the end people are getting impaled and cut in half. I do wonder how Touta's getting out of this scenario considering the Lifemaker is mega OP so you know he ain't winning but there aren't really any allies I can think of who could help him out in this scenario. Maybe Kirie's reset, but that's about it.

Okay, I have to ask... does anybody actually like Rin-ne? Like, I've read up through volume 21 so far (been getting to read it as the English volume released, because reasons), and... it's bad. Like, really not good. For years I thought Inuyasha was bad largely because it was just a bad genre fit for Rumiko Takahashi, but with this series it really does seem like she just completely lost her touch. Which sucks, because Urusei Yatsura and Maison Ikkoku are straight up classics in my mind, and I love Ranma too in spite of its flaws.

But... it keeps going, so it must have a fanbase, right? I just don't get it, since it's soooooo bland and repetitive, and the characters and jokes are so one-note and run into the ground. Like, I know there's worse stuff out there, but it may be my most hated series at this point, to be honest...

I struggled through s1 of the anime and yeah I dunno how its popular enough to get 3 seasons and keep going. I'll defend InuYasha despite its flaws but Rinne is fucking boring.

To be honest I don't think I've ever liked any of her works. They all eventually commit the same mistakes that pretty much kills my interest completely.

I don't, but I think it's the extent of world building that always drags her down. Maison Ikkoku was a pretty self-contained world, Inuyasha might as well have been with how every other place looked like a place already drawn. I think she's best at crafting drama around a recurring and relevant cast with the monster of the week/battles taking a back seat to relationship progression. But then, I couldn't stand Rinn-e so maybe it does get better later on.

I read a bit, but it's just not that fun. With Inuyasha you at least had a plot and some interesting characters, not so much here. It's like Fairy Tail without the softcore porn.

Hey even fairy tail has arcs and a goal that the characters are trying to accomplish. Half the main cast at where I dropped Rin-ne don't have any real goal other then continue to live their boring mundane life.
