What is likely going to happen is Escanor will either hesitate or randomly grow weak again before losing since
A) He is haxed so he needs to be axed from the tourney
B) Gowther is apparently a commandment so him trying to get a heart = revival = plot progression

Raku has decided to make a call before the end of the third year though, and the series is pretty close to the and moving at a high pace.
There's no way this isn't a set up for Chitoge ending.
Worst comes to worst, Raku doesn't choose anyone because Chitoge isn't there and we have a Chitogeless series for awhile.

With long running manga like Gintama, a straight up replacement is rare, especially given what the series is about. It's sort of a mishmash of different genres, so it ending would allow room for growth for multiple series or room for new comedy manga to start in its place.
With Nisekoi, a replacement usually takes a 1 to 2+ years to show up. A lot of romcom is going to start following Nisekoi's end, and a lot of them won't live for long. Jump will be looking for a similar successful romcom like I's/Ichigo 100%/ToLoveRu/Nisekoi, which will take time to appear.

Escanor powers up, Gowther no sells him as he reveals the whole Commandment thing, proceeds to discuss his entire plan then go to finish off Escanor...who was sandbagging and after hearing the tale delivers some Friendship is Magic speech then beats the living hell out of him.

Batman is better than Deku though. I mean Deku at start like to play tactic and such. But recently it starting to employ standard Shonen trope and ignoring the tactical stuff

About the
over 100% thing, to me it looked like a fancy reveal for a foreshadowed aspect of the quirk, so I was fine with it. I'm not too into random powerups either but I was really fine with it there

And of course there's a guy named Hercules (complete with the look) on the Greek team. I look forward to seeing how many more Greek gods wind up on this team. Given that Greece are ranked 10th overall, I hope they give Japan a good challenge before losing. Hopefully a 3-2 match.
I'm just happy this damn world tournament has finally started. The manga has been running for seven years now, and we only just started the international tournament that the whole series was set up for.
