Cover/Lead CP: Assassination Classroom (Important Announcement)
Center Colour: Shokugeki no Soma, Tokyo Ghoul (series from Young Jump), Sore ike! Yuugou-kun (Short serialization, 3 chapters total)

Is Stealth Symphony suddenly in survivor mode?!?

Also fairly interesting to see them trying to push Tokyo Ghoul since it has an anime coming out next season.

Smut will never die

You should be ashamed reading stuff like that. Anyways...

Don't know how long this will last with such a premise, but we will see :D

But theyve done the same before, with a kingdom chp in JUMP once. Makes sense to advertise it, though Tokyo Ghoul already sells over 200K a volume.

Stealth Symphony triumphing over Soul Catcher(s). Was wanting soul to last another year.

Super important announcement coming for Assassination Classroom next week.

Hoping for voice cast change of Karma Kun, and Korosensei from the OVA, and larger budget if its an anime.

Itona, Terasaka, and Asano are also most important who need the best voices. Praying all my faves get roles.

Naruto is explaining everything again but it's kind of hard to make heads or tails of it without reading the original version and in one full sequence. But it makes sense that Black Zetsu's role was this. Manipulating things from behind the scenes and all that.

No it doesn't make sense. Why does he have to manipulate everyone into manipulating everyone else? And his plans basically require manipulation of someone's life to such a degree of precision that it shouldn't be possible (not to mention the fact that this manipulation precision chain goes on for another 3 or 4 people).

Furthermore, Madara's resurrection no longer makes any sense. If Madara was pulling the strings, it makes sense - Madara would want obito to resurrect him. Madara would want to become a god. But if Madara himself was just a pawn, then all that matters was that someone awakened the rinnegaan. Either Obito or Nagato could have resurrected kaguya, so why'd zetsu go out of the way to make sure it was madara?

If Madara was dead but had brainwashed obito to being his pawn, the convolution of things makes sense. It may even make sense that Kaguya corrupted Madara because her evilness/essence/whatever is just that powerful.

Also, how the fuck is he alive? From the sounds of it he's been around since just before kaguya was sealed, which was like thousands of years ago.

And as pointed out by others in this thread, there are a ton of things about madara that don't fit with the explanations given (about izanagi, senju blood, madara's eyes, etc)

Kishimoto has no idea what he's doing.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
Pain: "It's me Jiraiya! It was me all along! Even my immediate zombies bought it!"
Obito: "It's me Kakashi! It was me all along! Even my immediate organization members bought it!"
Madara: "It's me Obito! It was me all along! Even my immediate clansman bought it!"
Black Zetsu: "It's me Madara! It was me all along! Even my immediate Zetsus bought it!"

Yes a world trigger volume finally crossed 100K. Definitely deserved it.

And his plans basically require manipulation of someone's life to such a degree of precision that it shouldn't be possible (not to mention the fact that this manipulation precision chain goes on for another 3 or 4 people).

He manipulated an entire clan to do so originally but then found one that fit person that perfectly aligned with his goal. He then likely deceived him from there. Madara deceived others but it seems that Zetsu was doing stuff to guide it in the direction he needed until he could strike. It was Zetsu manipulating it all with minor touches and using Madara's own ambitions since it aligned.

Furthermore, Madara's resurrection no longer makes any sense. If Madara was pulling the strings, it makes sense - Madara would want obito to resurrect him. Madara would want to become a god. Either Obito or Nagato could have resurrected kaguya, so why'd zetsu go out of the way to make sure it was madara?

How does it not make sense? Madara wanted all of those things and that doesn't change with this revelation. He was subtly manipulated and thought that his master plan was for him but there was one more step in it and it wasn't for Madara himself but someone else.

And why not Obito or Nagato? There are several reasons.

1. The plan started long before Obito or Nagato was born.
2. They still had preparations to do by the time Obito and Nagato were players in it all, namely acquiring the necessary tailed-beasts.
3. When they finally did get everything together, Obito was a half-dead corpse and Nagato was already dead. The tricky part here is that Madara was dead but broke the Edo Tensei to come to life again just after all the Beasts were collected and after Obito basically kicked the bucket. Remember, they collected the Fox Chakra from Naruto after Obito was taken down and Zetsu was holding him "hostage" more or less
4. Madara is a ridiculously powerful Ninja on his own as shown in the fights.

If Madara was dead but had brainwashed obito to being his pawn, the convolution of things makes sense. It may even make sense that Kaguya corrupted Madara because her evilness/essence/whatever is just that powerful.

Madara DID die. Remember? They showed hiim connected to the Mazo and was prolonging his life for the longest of time. He manipulated Obito to do his work but then really kicked the bucket. He then got Edo Tensei'd and ended up breaking it to come back to life properly.

Also, how the fuck is he alive? From the sounds of it he's been around since just before kaguya was sealed, which was like thousands of years ago.

I assume you're referring to Zetsu? He seems like a chakra parasite or something and has to live on hosts. So living from host to host means he can live on for ages. Remember, the tailed beasts grew up as well after many hundreds of years too so super powered chakra beings aren't the same as regular humans.

As I said, it looks confusing but if you lay it out properly, it makes more sense and is easier to digest. Doesn't stop all the reveals from being a trainwreck but it doesn't mean it's incomprehensible.

Tathanen

Get Inside Her!
So the Ten Tails is the Moon. Uh, ok.

Well, we knew this ages and ages ago. It's not that the ten tails IS the moon, it was imprisoned in the moon. The "core" of the moon, so to speak. The moon was the result of a chibaku tensei, the sort Pain did, but a million times bigger. Done by the Sage of Six Paths ages ago to imprison the ten tails.

Ging is always fun to see in any chapter. His interaction with Beyond Netero's group was great overall. Not a fan of the Don Freecss revelation though, but I'm sure he will be an entertaining character to see in action. Also nice to see Gon facing "some" consequences for his actions, even if he'll definitely find a way to get his powers back/find another way to fight.

One Piece 750:

To be fair he was already 2nd in command for the revolutionary before that.

He doesn't need to be an expert of the fire fist - He was already strong enough to be Dragon's right hand man and to win a battle royal of individuals with 200+ million bounties (pretty easily).

Keep in mind that Dragon is the most wanted person in the world, despite keeping a relatively low profile. He's probably at least as powerful as the most powerful Yonkou, including Whitebeard. Shouldn't be a surprise his right hand man can stomp everyone.

In the chapter he's clearly holding the Marines back with the Fire Fist abilities/flames (it's possible he used his other powers as well, but since there are no signs of this, I'm going to assume it was only flames). The "crazy" part is him having enough control over his abilities to hold off all those marines, a Vice Admiral and an Admiral after only having the powers for less than a day. If he wasn't using those abilities I wouldn't have made the comment at all because yes, he was already strong enough on his own. The fact that he was able to fight Burgess with his normal abilities indicates he would at least be able to challenge an Admiral (that, and being Ace #2).

there's also the fact that Obito and Nagato wouldn't have been able to do anything since they were using Madara's eyes all this time. if Madara didn't do the complicated stuff he did back then, neither Obito or Nagato would have had the Rinnegan to do anything.

also, there was someone saying that Senju DNA was needed to use Izanagi. that's not true since many Uchihas used Izanagi long ago according to Itachi. Danzo neede Senju DNA because he himself couldn't control the technique alone since he was just a regular dude (the DNA helped use the eyes in his arm).

Shouta: "If" = "Since" in the "If Madara was dead" sentence you replied to. :3

Things may somewhat come together but not very convincingly since it's clear that kishomoto doesn't know how to properly structure a narrative (and has most likely BSed his way out of a corner)

HxH

So I assume that the 6th unknown calamity Netero and crew brought back with them only recently emerged as a sort of "Demonic Atavism" thing like Yu Yu.

Manifesting itself into Alluka of course. Zoldyck must have have caught something while there and Nanika born as a result of that after a couple generations.

I wonder with this revelation if we'll see Killia again.

It was explicitly stated by Obito that you need Senju DNA to use the completed and full power Izanagi.

Was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help with the name of a manga I've misplaced. It's a story about this young yakuza who is hiding out in a weird hotel that's run by a witch and her sister and he falls for the witch. It has all these weird side characters who are guests at the hotel like assassins and drug dealers and it can get pretty violent. Can't for the life of me recall the name.

Sounds like The Voynich Hotel.

If not, you should still read it anyway.

Yep, someone named Obito (episode 510).

that's not true since many Uchihas used Izanagi long ago according to Itachi.
Itachi did say that, indeed (Izanagi was so overused Izanami became necessary, never mind the fact each cast costs you an eye in the first place).
That's called an inconsistency. One of many (remember when Madara was the founder of the Uchiha clan?).

No such thing, as far as we know.

Hmmmm....Not going to lie. I like what they did with the Naruto story. Obviously the presentation of it all was pretty messy but I liked what I read.

Decided to start this today on a whim.

That's uh

er

hmm

well that's one way to start a series.

I guess i'm in for a ride with this one.

If Zetsu wanted to revive Kaguya, he'd have to use a reincarnation of Ashura/whoever the other brother was, because Kaguya was sealed in them.
According to one translation, yeah, but not according to the other. And while I can't really say for sure until I read the original Japanese, I think the latter is more accurate.

Another nice setup chapter. I'm not a fan of making the Freecs family something more special than necessary, but then again we'll see how that pans out. It's just nice to see Kurapika and Leorio again as central characters.

Kurapika has gone ham. Has a bad attitude and seems anti-social now. I have a feeling this arc will put him on edge and Leorio will have to be there for him as a friend to help him through it.

Naruto

Meh just more BS as standard. Awful chapter, awful arc, period.

One Piece

I wish they'd just move onto things, after three weeks hiatus now we're back to typical shenanigans. I just want to move a little faster, come on Oda. There was a lot of filler in this arc despite being generally awesome stuff.

I like it when One Piece includes those character maps to help keep track of what everyone's doing and where they're going in the massive battles like these.

Though, uh, what happened to that dramatic revelation about Doffy's brother from the last chapter?

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.

We probably won't get that flashback until Law gets his cuffs off and faces off against Doflamingo.

That's where he fails and Luffy comes in for the save and Law pulls a Vegeta.

I agree Sabo shouldn't have this much mastery of his devil fruit when just ate not too long ago. Make no sense. I also in the minority with this but I don't think Sabo is Dragon right hand because of strength. More have to do with Sabo beliefs is closes to his own.

I don't really include Pain as part of that.

As for the rest, that's what makes it pretty understandable with this latest chapter. Madara had similar ambitions as the black zetsu so he manipulated Obito the way he did. Overall I feel like the explanation is satisfactory. Yeah the presentation was clumsy with one villain after another constantly claiming to be the top dog. But this latest chapter's explanation was understandable imo and not ALL THAT ridiculous.

That, and likely Law will finally understand the strength of those who carry the D. initial. He mentioned that he seems to know something about it during his fight with Doflamingo on the bridge.
