It looks so tasty. Kurokiba Ryou reconfirmed for best non SoTaku cook. I loved how excited he was at even the addition of herb butter.
The water theme was great, reminded me of Free! when the headmaster posed like Rin in that one panel.

E-Robot was so awful. It's basically To-Love Ru done much worse, and To-Love Ru was shit to begin with. I'm not surprised they went with Obata's, but I am surprised they didn't wait for one more survey to compare all the jump start series. Probably means Obata had a vastly more positive response than either of the others

I read Leonora's "disrobing" in that Iron Chef English dub voice they use.
Its becoming readily apparent having three dudes in the final was a very poor decision on the author's part.

They really need to jump this ahead one year and move it into a middle school instead of an elementary school. I get that doing it this way lets there be more diverse outfits (ie, no school uniforms), but it's really hard to take it seriously when all the characters look like they are 8 years old because, well, they are 8 years old!

666 Satan was basically Devil Naruto and it even had an extremely similar structure (a MC wanting to be acknowledged though for more nefarious purposes, a "part 2"/timeskip where everyone got older/powerful but the story went to crazyville, especially with the finale). Even more so with Naruto now completed and 666 Satan was completed way earlier tbh lol
IIRC It was so similar people shitted on the author accusing him of plagiarizing to the point older Kishi had to come in and defend him (saying they were inspired by the same things, etc).
Not sure about Blazer Drive since it didn't seem to "light the place on fire" compared to 666 in regards to getting attention.
Both of them were brothers. I liked 666 Satan more cause it had some romance in the plot but so many gaping holes in the story that it was pitiful.
Lol. I'm not saying it's aliens...
Well I'm interested in what I've read thus far (Sukedachi 9) but let's see. Will keep expectations tempered.

I read this, but it just feels more like revenge porn than anything. It could be a really good commentary on capital punishment with the general setup, but I seriously doubt it will be anything that interesting. We'll be lucky if it evolves past revenge/murder porn.

Excellent start to another case. Uozumi is a great second character to have around so hopefully he also joins up or becomes a main character of sorts too.
Bloody classroom needs some explanation though is compelling too.
Inugami outfit is a huge upgrade as well.

Another point! Why do we have a series involving a bunch of preteens where a fucking gory massacre is one of the main plot points? It's unsettling in a bad way.

I really dig that they the author is portraying this last Election as an actual battle so it's easier to visualize the back and forth. This is a manga after all so it's kind of hard to do that normally, lol.

Fast forward 5 years, he's working in some dance studio as a janitor or something. Cheeky idols disrespect him so he busts out some moves. Alice comes back from america and they start dating

Wicked Eyes Fly to the Full Moon by Fujita Kazuhiro
Story about a monster owl killing everything it sees. The plot and characters are all rather dumb, with everything progressing in a predictable way that could be likened to a cookie-cutter horror film. Thankfully it wasn't too boring of a read due to the art, which lends itself well for such a setting and is pretty competent at depicting the blood and gore, or the craziness of certain actions.
A rather forgettable horror/slasher movie in manga form.

Finally got around to reading Kiseijuu. So good that i'm blitzkrieged through it in two days.
Female characters, aside from that one parasite antagonist, are absolute trash, tho. Failing dat bechdel test with gusto. Trying to get the author's other works.
Looking for a coupla seinen suggestions for a long trip. Trying to remember the name of some mma girl book. Already done with alita, shamo (ye gods the current arc is shit), nihei, lone wolf, mugen no juunin, zerk and bokko. Tips?

Try Tokyo Ghoul it's a solid read, the art also drastically improves as it goes on. There's a sequel out too that's called Tokyo Ghoul:Re. So yeah check the series out.
