To be fair, the version Isayama showed Jump wasn't very promising and the art was even messier then usual, plus it was his first serialized work.
There is no way anyone could guess it would become such a massive success.

That's not a particularly hard case to defend. Start with a genuinely interesting premise, then keep shitting on it, showing just a hint of brilliance every so often so that people don't ever completely come to terms with what they are actually reading.
Happens all the time in all media formats.

All of those but No Game No Life are a manga as well, but since those all aired last year I just assume they are talking about the adaptations.
But I would say watch Parasyte and Noragami. You could read them too, Parasyte is finished.
Hmm... Well then, I'll start by Parasyte then since it's finished, then jump to noragami, Terra formars and leave no game no life for last

Just finished this. Very fun series, but not without its flaws. I could try to eloquently put it into an essay or something but fuck it, here's a list instead:
- I'm not sure I've ever seen a manga be so blatant with its themes. Like, the author really didn't leave anything to the imagination about pretty much anything. Rather than let the reader make his own conclusions about the nature of man and the nature of the parasites, it seemed that every hint of change in Shinichi or Ryoko was explicitly pointed out by a narrator, internal thoughts, other characters, etc.
- The above was definitely a detriment to the final two chapters. Holy shit, they were basically just monologues about the nature of mankind and the environment. The ending of quite satisfying, but god damn.
- Manga Murano >> Anime Murano to the end of time.
- I've seen complaints of there being no real "set up" to some character appearances/major story moments, and I definitely have to agree. Things like the glasses girl that confronts Hideo and the serial killer dude appearing out of fucking nowhere and suddenly being extremely important are some good examples. Fortunately the anime tries to fix this (at the detriment to some other things).
- Even random college girls can't resist the allure of Shinichi, but honestly can you blame them?
I know the spoiler policy here, but with the anime currently airing I feel the need to tag these two (ending thoughts)

I have to lol at how after all that, the year of Murano at college seemed to set things back so far (realistic though, I guess). But I'm guessing after that last chapter they're pretty much together for life. Also Murano was totally a boss right at the end.
I really appreciate how at the end of it all, the only thing that mattered was Shinichi and Migi's journey. The parasites are still out these killing people, nobody knows where they came from, there's probably a big government movement going on... but who cares? His journey is over, and his best bro is gone, but will probably be there when he really needs him.

Terra Formars is like, objectively not good. You should read it because it is fun trash and you can clear a book in less than five minutes, but good? Ye gods, no.
Tbh it reminds me of gantz quite a bit.
Parasyte is pretty fun, even if it does have quite a few flaws. Far superior to terra formars, at least.
It makes a lot more sense if you consider that the author probably despises build-ups. Everything is 'THIS IS HOW THINGS ARE NOW OK? OK.". Everything.
