Ha ha, don't get hung up on that. Give the first chapter a shot. It is a great Sci-Fi slice of life/coming of age manga.
Boys on the Run is different in that while it can be painful to get through, it has inherent value with its core themes and messages, with characters who are far more fleshed out and situations that are believable, if not relatable, with generally logical developments and outcomes, with implementations who feel more than excuses to shock its audience for the sake of it.
It's not a pleasant read by any means, but it has worth in being read.
For Action-oriented manga, there is also Kingdom and Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, though the former is rather long so it doesn't really fit your "no endless" requirement. The latter is pretty good, if rather bizarre.
Nickelodeon is a collection of quirky yet thought-provoking short stories. If you wish to expand your horizons, it's a pretty good place to start.

I loved it Zweizer, I loved it. My only gripe is that I hate reading sad manga...
This chalks it up next to Sundome and that manga (forgot the name) that has this guy who's body was manufactured to hold an infinite amount of chi but it just comes out and becomes useless for this other guy, who practices immortal arts,to take over his body. The MC feel in love with the guy who wants to take over his body's wife and end up falling for each other and she dies at the end while he was giving her a piggy back ride along the beach...............

All the while, some masked people are trying to kill them by either using direct means or making them fall to their deaths.

If the ending is sad I disagree emotionally but logically yes... I just want more romancu manga that's mature... I haven't found anything that's like Nozaki no Ana... Curse this life.
It is, though the apps are usable. I put up with them because the translation quality is fine; they're just marred by the website's interface. Plus, you know, legit. But again, the apps are fine.

Takamura talking about the time they have left felt like a meta comment after the author realized how long he's been stalking.
This last few chapters served as a reminder how Ippo is about the least interesting character in his own series, and made me once again annoyed that Sendo lost twice to him (really what was the point of that? Just screams of lack of planning, Sendo and Ippo should be in a tie at this point to maximize their rivalry... plus Sendo just comes off as a flat out better boxer than Ippo)
I can definitively see the argument that Dark Souls made in favour of spider girls.

I liked it more when it was more "episodic" such as in the first couple of chapters, but I can't say I'm not curious to see where this is going with the new guy.
Yeah, at this point I really wanna know what the big mystery is.

Good volume. Ayumi mother kissing Maya was a very emotional scene and works well into the theme of who was really born "with it all" between Maya and Ayumi.
The award ceremony should be a good change of pace, it feels a bit early for Maya to win it, but after her performance it'd be hard to justify any other result

Yeah, quite liked the series. It stretched itself too long though.
If anything, my Samuel Johnson reaction picture is more baffled than surprised or shocked.
I don't think I've ever seen religion being portrayed fairly in animanga depiction. Even good show such as Spice and Wolf and Legend of the Galactic Heroes still fall to this trapping.

Historical mangas are usually a fun read, like Historie and I just stumbled on this one by chance, good art, interesting characters and I like the settings.
Still haven't read it cause I can't find volume 7 and 8 everywhere
