Is anyone current? Is it worth reading? I read the original series, and became disinterested in the sequel after a volume or two because it wasn't going in a direction that I was hoping for.

I still like the series a whole lot and don't think it deserves half the flack it's getting, but if the first volumes of Gunnm Last Order didn't do anything for you, I'm not convinced the rest would change your mind... Although you might be interested in knowing that the author took two volumes to fill in the blanks between current days and the series' time period.

. This was a fun manga. Not too plot focused and sort off requires some skimming the plot but a good spinoff of the series. Black Rabbit was hilarious and there was interesting fights and a couple twists. I liked how the story maintained its comical lighthearted mood each chapter despite there being some serious action occurring

I read the first 15 volumes or something of LO and may read the rest just to finish it but you'd best pretend BAA has ended with the first series.

Are you saying LO is not worth reading? Bullshit. it is completely worth reading and is a fantastic manga. Yes it might have felt like it dragged on too much. But I blame that on the hiatuses and slow translations. The middle part is really great when you sit down and just read instead of having to wait months for a new chapter.

In fact its worth reading for the art alone as I feel its a huge improvement over the first part and has some of the best spreads in all of manga.

LOL I find it hilarious that Konohamaru is the Grandson of the 3rd yet his identity isn't a big deal when the 3rd was called the God of Shinobi. Yet Naruto being called the son of the 4th was a big deal.

Its the sympathy ploy that Kishi pulled to make you feel bad for Naruto because the "village" mistreated him. It worked too for the first few chapters till you realize what a shitty kid Naruto was to the village itself.

Instead of pranking and being a fucking retard with his time which screwed him over in his ninja life. He should have been proving all his haters wrong and making friends. Kishi went overblown with the mistreatment. No kid can be alone in his whole life without some sort of social abnormality coming to surface ranging from Psychopathy or anti-social personality. Being a loud mouth that is kind to strangers (Haku) is not a good indication of someone who has been by himself all his life and treated badly by the village.

Kishi showed Shikamaru and his gang being somewhat friends with Naruto but never expanded on it. Its about as stupid as Naruto reason for crushing on Sakura. In other words, too stupid to put into words. Same with the Sasuke crap as well.

Another to consider is that Naruto is pretty much his Ninja village's WMD aka Nuke. So him and the other containers being mistreated just makes me laugh. Like you start going near our nukes and start poking and prodding at them, they are going to explode in your face and you won't be the only one dying. No laws to treat Naruto well except to ban mentioning Kyuubi?

Well this is Shonen and Naruto needs to be alive to be MC so I guess it wouldn't have worked out.

The Gintama releases are soooo slow in France. Nobody buys it so Kana doesn't really care about it anymore. We're only at volume 29. It was released in September, and the next one will be out in March.

That's quite a steady schedule, not Hippo or Reborn but quite respectable.
I mean it leave time to read something else for anyone who's not an hardcore fan.
I mean I read Hunter x Hunter.

The last one Viz released was Vol.22 some ages ago. It's dead here. Probably. :[
