I wanna feel bad for enjoying Gantz so far but goddamit is it the type of series that's bad but so fuckin good. The action is really good plus some of the alien designs are legit. Yeah there are unnecessary lewd scenes, but it still doesn't detract me from enjoying this manga. I have to say though no one in this series is safe, like my god do so many people die like fodder. I had hoped some would survive but no they fuckin die off like bugs.

It's pretty enjoyable so far, even if it isn't supposed to be objectively good.

Just read the first two chapters of Zetman, I've not been a manga reader for years. Enjoying it so far. I'm not totally at ease with the mix of lighthearted uninteresting goofiness and the more grim dark elements, would have preferred something a little more in between. But all in all, there is potential and I definitely want to read the rest of the story.

Nice enough chapter. Not sure what else to say. I've disconnected myself a bit from this arc, I suppose. I'm more than fine with breathers, but I guess the real hook is waiting to see how Souma helps Shinomiya find that missing element to his cuisine, and I guess I'm just not that invested in Shinomiya or his problem. He's been out of the picture for so long, after all. To compare it towards something like, I dunno, the homecoming mini-arc, there's just not any real sense of, I dunno, weight.

I like freckles girl, though.

Well I'm weak. I'm also enlightened because holy shit, this is the best prison break story in the history of any medium. So many glorious and deranged moments. All the planning coming to naught because of the chairman, the magnificent reaction faces, Hana, Gakuto's determination, Gakuto's pick up lines, Gakuto's regenerative abilities and his endless supply of glasses. I was giggling throughout. I'm glad there's so much stuff left, I will have to at least try to pace myself so as to not burn through it too fast.

We actually get some new information about him! He's an amnesiac, and something else that's hinted early and fully revealed in last page. I really want to read chapter 17 now.

Kingdom volumes 11 and 12 received, read it up to volume 21, ordered volumes 22 and 23... I really didn't think I could enjoy this series so much.

Kingdom 11-21

So much stuff happening/happened. Wang Qi's death came as a big surprise to me, but gotta give props to the fat lips general, he was outstanding until his last breath. A testament to his strength that a whole war was initiated only to kill him. It also allowed for Teng to show some of his strength and he didn't disappoint.

Xin is still green, but he's improving at such a steep pace and the inclusion of Wang Ben and Meng Tiang has been giving him the right push. I don't really like Ben so far but Tiang is really cool.
I also appreciated that Xin stepped up to stop those war crimes, even if it risked dooming his entire unit. Even better that Qiang Lei was doing the same on he side.

Speaking of Qiang Lei, I don't like this direction he story is taking, especially when I look at the cover of volume 22. If that injury and cover mean that Qiang Lei is gonna die, I'mma be a sad sad person.

While these volumes were damn good, I felt disappointed by the fact Diao didn't really have a role except a few appearances.

Now back to waiting for the next volumes.
