This was the toughest game Louisville will face, they will breeze through the rest of the region

and fuck you Syracuse, first time in six years ive lost a final four team on the first game

You think? I hope you're right, but the GT game should be a challenge. if GT wins their game. BTW I have Old Dominion topping MSU.

Hey he's smart enough to know how to beat a C-usa team. Maybe Tubby can call his old pal for some advice

:lol

BTW Seth, u want in on this lil bet as well? Or do you dread the thought of sporting a Louisville avatar for a whole month? That is if UK takes an L like I think they will tomorrow night.

I might pick a high school team over an SEC team the way this tournament has gone.

The ACC is 4-0 so far. If Ga Tech wins it'll be a perfect 5-0. And all you people were bitching about how "overrated" the ACC is. how's that crow taste?

Why would he need it? We beat a C-USA team this season, remember? No, I'm sure you blocked that one out. Bwahaha.

great, a 14 is about to beat a 3 and CBS is asleep at the wheel. I'm really glad I get to see Michigan state HUDDLING right now.

I hope someone is getting fired as we speak.

Haha...watching the HD feed is great. The announcers think everyone has switched to the Kansas game. They're just chatting with each other. It's hilarious. "There goes somebody's bank," Lundquist said.

the game ends and we watch get to watch georgia techs timeout :(

is this happening with everyone?

they've been fucked up all night. As someone else pointed, they couldn't switch the HD feed away from the ODU / Mich. State game. The announcers said "let's go back to Greg Gumbel in New York" like 5 times, and then they just gave up and started talking to eachother.

Oh, and way to go, Kansas. Looks like it was you holding Roy back all these years and not the other way around. Oops.

KU drowns!

I had them in my Elite Eight, but fuck it, i'm about out of the bracket challenge at this rate. So I will take this opportunity to bask in yet another KU loss. Mwahaha, shoulda stayed at Illinois, Self. Then again, we wouldn't be #1. ZING

I don't think the acc is overrated, but really only NC State had to pull a mild upset to win. The other seeds of 1,1,2,5, well, they should win. Got to wait at least to see how sweet sixteen pans out, considering how well the acc was seeded.

avoiding any upsets is quite an accomplishment. Can't say the SEC (5 seed and 6 seed lost), the Big East (4 seed lost), and the Big XII (3 seed lost) are in the same boat. Plus we also had a team that pulled off a mild upset (as you pointed out). Quite contrary to all those people bitching about the ACC being overrated.

Three of your five teams were 1 or 2 seeds. Of course they didn't get upset. :p

I'm not really disagreeing with you. But honestly, for the seedings the acc teams received, they need to put 3 in sweet sixteen, 3 in elite 8, and at least 1 in the final four(really 2 for having 2nd, 3rd and 5th ranked teams) for the acc to live up the seeding expectations. Very possible they will reach those marks, but the past 2 days was the easy part of reaching those expectations.

Whew.. that was an exciting day. After all the upsets I still have 14 of my Sweet Sixteen alive (and everyone of my final 8). I'm wishing that I had money on this now.

Cuse going down like a cheap whore sickens me. I had them in the final four. But I guess I can look on the bright side, I'm still in 1st place in the GAF pool....for now

Great second day after a mediocre first.

My Devils survived a scare, Delaware St came out hard.

I have to laugh at SU and KU now, sorry Simien, you're no Laettner.

Sweet, I'm still in first, despite miscalling 4 of today's games. Suaveric looks to be in better position than me and Bowser, though. Didn't take Syracuse to the final four like the rest of us.

I'm not really feeling my Florida pick right now.. they didn't look like a Final Four team today.

edit: can you believe there's actually one guy who still has a perfect bracket on Yahoo?

Not a great first round but I've only lost one of my sweet 16. But sadly I've also lost one of my Elite 8 and Final 4. Screw you Syracuse!

2nd round upsets? So. Illinois over Ok. State and NC State over UConn (altho some might not conisder that a huge upset i guess)

I had the Vermont upset, but also had Kansas making it to the championship game. So I'm second in my pool but have almost no chance of winning. Thanks a lot, Bill Self!

Who DID look like a Final Four team in the first round? Certainly not Illinois. North Carolina would be about it.

I think Florida looked better than half of the teams that "survived" the first round. Think about it this way, in most of the close games yesterday, they were CLOSE, the whole game. Florida had a 20 point lead and was owning Ohio. They only got over-confident (a common mistake when half of your guys are fresh/sophs) and lost the gap for a while. They still came back to decisively win. Look at the games like Illinois or even U Conn. They had 15-16 seeds hanging on for the entire game.

Now who looks good???

Giving up a 20 point lead to end up having the game TIED with but a couple minutes left is NOT a good sign. Your boys "survived" as much as anyone, maybe worse. Giving up momentum like that is a horrible, horrible thing. Better to have a team fight and claw and keep it close the whole time than to show such a mental letdown like Florida did, in my opinion. Your game was TIED with 46 seconds left in the game! You call the going on to decisively win? Are you kidding me? Haha.

Really though, almost no one looked good. No denying that. There's no shame in it this year. Just don't be in denial and pretend Florida was any more impressive.

Are you kidding me. We showed more SKILL than most of the teams yesterday. We still achieved a bigger lead than most of those teams could have hoped for. Yea, it wasn't good we gave up that lead, but it was a good experience for our young guys. I can guarantee that wont happen again, and the players' comments after the game back that up. You obviously dont know Florida very well if you think dont think that was out of the ordinary and would happen again.

You've given up leads all year. Your players talk trash even when they've lost to the same team 6 times in a row. When you lose by 20 your players brag about "winning the second half." I really wouldn't look to what they say as being words of wisdom. TIED WITH 46 SECONDS. Sorry, but that's a horrible situation to be in. Anyone's game, with less than a minute? Danger territory. The other team hits a 3 and you're toast.

ESPN's headline for your game? "Gators nearly gag, but escape with win over Ohio." Sounds like a decisive victory to me....

Again though, no shame in it. It's just like everyone else this year. Many teams couldn't even survive.

1) We lost to UK a bunch of times over the past years, but we beat them TWICE in ONE WEEK, so I think you can drop that one.
2) I'd like to see a quote about any of our players bragging when we lose.
3) If you cant trust your seniorrs to provide insight into the game, then you have no faith in your team.
4) Sure, they tied it, but we also came right back and shut them down in those last 46 seconds, and I love how you forget that in the first 15 minutes of the game we COMPLETELY dominated them. What teams that ended with less than a 10 point lead yesterday can say they dominated their opponents EVER.
5) I didn't say it was decisive, but it was a much better win than momst of those close games from yesterday, and we come out of it in better shape because of it. It wont happen again. We weren't outplayed (see half the games yesterday, or played down to their level), we had a lapse of confidence after getting over-confident (which again, few teams got the oppurtunity to get in such a position).

I see the fans take on the personality of their team. When you came ot Rupp ranked #1 and lost big, Roberson absolutely bragged that you won the second half. It's fact. I'll find the quote if you insist.

And you didn't say it was decisive?? Now what, you think you can just lie? You said, and I quote:

"They still came back to decisively win."

This is exactly why I can't stand Florida or their fans. Barely pull out a win and suddenly they are champions of the world.

You are talking about a quote from another YEAR? You are stretching it dude, get a life.

You can not stand us all you want, but you will have to listen to it for a few more weeks. Get used to it. I love being the most hated fans in the nation.

Not going to even comment on getting caught in a lie? Nice one. Classy. Way to stick to your guns. :) That's cool man, good luck in the tournament.

You want me to explain the same thing to you again? Apparently you didn't get it the first time.

"they tied it, but we also came right back and shut them down in those last 46 seconds, and I love how you forget that in the first 15 minutes of the game we COMPLETELY dominated them. What teams that ended with less than a 10 point lead yesterday can say they dominated their opponents EVER."
We dominated in the first 15 minutes, and we shut them down in the last minute. The last minute was decisive, but given the comeback they made for a while, the game wasn't decisive.
