It would be interesting to see WWE on a sports channel in the US. I wonder if they'll have highlights on their sports shows.

Only time I've heard TNA mentioned on a WWE program was during one of those Legends of Wrestling roundtables. Ric flair mentioned Vince Russo working for TNA then added, "What's TNA?" Guess that shows what they think of them.

Jeff Hardy mentioned them on the Hardy Boys DVD. Flair mentioned them again at the 2K14 thing. JR said something like "We're not suppose to talk about them" and Flair said he didn't give a shit.

I wonder if Punk was sitting at home on Monday watching Raw.

"Wait, the winner of the HHH match gets into the Main Event? FUCK!"

Its not too late for him to come back and get himself thrown into that match!

Triple threat match that possibly leads into another triple threat match.

hes not coming back

Well purposefully ignoring TNA is better than being completely unaware of their existence I suppose.

Its basically WWE ignores them but they assign people to watch the show and if they like anything they put it on raw.

Two examples were the announcer at the beginning of TNA. WWE copied it but I don't think they do that anymore. The second is they took a part out of the whole Claire Lynch storyline and used it in the John Cena and AJ story.

Still love AJ Styles on impact giving a promo on them stealing from there shitty storyline.

While WWE probably stole the "Previously, on Raw" thing from TNA, it isn't like that was an original idea. It had been done in WCW and WWE themselves in the 90s. Opening recaps of the last week's show has been pretty common in wrestling for decades. Sometimes with words, sometimes without, but the idea wasn't something that TNA innovated by any means.

Yeah, I doubt AJ/Cena was even remotely based on Claire Lynch, but rather the millionth male/female romance wrestling angle.

If you remember correctly, Claire Lynch was the story about a pregnant meth head who was paid to try to frame AJ Styles for some reason I can't really remember.

AMC/WWE thing is quizzical.

Obviously it wouldn't be "purchasing the WWE", as the WWE is a publicly traded company worth nearly 3B. Maybe a merger or simply buying the largest stake in the company - but AMC doesn't have the channels for WWE programming. Would they really put Raw and Smackdown on AMC proper?

On the other hand, I know for a fact they want profitable, stable shows based on pop culture to fill out their roster of scripted dramas. They are coveting the "geek" because they think they are the least fickle of viewers, and WWE programming is really stable lately.

I mean, this is a company that once tried to embrace their role as a "male driven soap opera" - which has done the "previously on" announcer thing for 60 years.

Well someone on Impact thought they copied they beginning part where they thought AJ Styles was cheating on his wife with Dixie before the Meth head was introduced.

Hell they got Styles to cut a promo about WWE stealing the storyline from them.

Both will steal from others or from WCW/WWF in the 90's anyways. Both in stories and characters. New ones will be consisted off guys like Ryder who did the Internet thing and stuff like they're doing with Bryan and the hashtag social media garb. Not many new ones will be super interesting.

Ian Rotten seems worse than Rob Black

Rob Black allegedly paid thugs to break into Messiah's house and cut off his thumb as retaliation for banging his porn star wife, Ian Rotten paid jobbers with hot dogs and advertised wrestlers he hadn't actually booked. Both are scumbags, bit Ian seems more of the carny conman variety

Except both AJ and Cena were single and the controversy was supposed to be about AJ the GM starting a relationship with a wrestler.

Aside from focusing on a relationship and both involving people named AJ there really want much overlap there.

And if those are the criteria, AJ dated like the guys simultaneously half a year before that lol.

Question for the TNA watchers. Do you think it is better for the company to cut guys like Styles and Bad Influence for making too much only to bring in guys who are likely making too much like MVP, Lashley, and resign Anderson or would you prefer they spend that money to keep the core group of guys that have always been there?

Hadn't heard that one. Both are pieces of shit and bummers when they book themselves. How many times has Rotten had the title? 10?

The money they spend on those guys aren't near close enough to keep their top guys. TNA is just about broke right now, they simply can't afford to keep the talent and have to get the talent that will work for low indie rates.

I'm not a TNA watcher but I find it pretty shameless and gross that they'll cut a guy like AJ's contract in half as a cost cutting measure, but still sign and pay ex-WWE guys and MMA fighters who have zero positive impact on the company. It's bad business to not be loyal to the talent that is loyal to you.

"Wait, the winner of the HHH match gets into the Main Event? FUCK!"

On a serious note though, I think that was last minute creative. I think Vince honestly thought there wouldn't be any backlash from the crowd at the Royal Rumble. He wanted Batista Vs Orton. The main event sounds really underwhelming though. Bryan will def be carrying it. In a perfect world we woulda had Punk vs Bryan as the main event.

The decision was probably made the night of the Chamber, like it was their backup plan they had just in case. Batista/Del Rio was the last chance at seeing if they could get Batista cheered. It didn't work.

If you get the chance, go back and listen to the commentary once Bryan gets screwed. Michael Cole was furious, and wouldn't have been if Bryan wasn't going into the title match.

Only a few hours until Impact. I'm getting legitimately excited for the things we may see tonight.

-Sanada is set to make his Impact debut as X Division champion. Could this mean we see Manik or Tigre Uno? I'd like to see Sanada face and defeat Zema Ion to keep Tigre Uno strong early on
-A new Knockout, named Brittany, is set to debut
-Abyss and Joe are headed towards a collision course
-Bully Ray has some explaining to do and is likely going to run into Bobby Roode
-MVP will have his first night as head of TNA wrestling operations
-Rockstar Spudd is going to host a #ThankYouDixie party
-EC3 could be confronted by Bobby Lashley

Looks like a stacked two hours. Tune in at 9pm. Only on Spike TV.

Seems pretty good. Might tune in after NXT finishes.

This is Santana Garrett from the indies (she also used to be one of Orlando Jordan's group in TNA previously), she's pretty good so I'm looking forward to seeing how she does. Here's her finish, the Shining Star Press;

The whole Rob Black/Messiah thing was actually featured on an episode of America's Most Wanted;

And yeah, Ian booked himself as champion a bunch of times - 8 in total, but to be fair, he hasn't had the belt since 2000. I think the worst thing he's been involved in is either the Mike Levy incident or just repeatedly conning fans out of money for cancelled shows, undelivered merch, etc.

I'm not a fan of them losing their veteran talent, but at the same time it opens the door for other guys. TNA is in a "reset" phase with their talent right now, and I think it could pay big dividends if their creative could get their heads out of their asses and not make dumb decisions like "the hand."

New talent working in TNA just over the past two months:
-Alpha female
-Davey Richards
-Eddie Edwards
-Tigre Uno
-Sanada
-MVP
-Brittany (tonight)

And they've had a youth movement with the following guys:
-Bro Mans
-EC3

It's unfortunate and frustrating that their poor business decisions have resulted in cutting talent like Styles, and now potentially Daniels, but they're already trying to rebuild their foundation with a mix of youth a vets like Roode, Storm, Aries, and Joe.

Yeah, right around then. I think maybe Raw two weeks back was when they officially decided to build towards it when they booked Bryan/Batista. He should have won the Rumble realistically and it made no sense why they cut him from it. I still can't believe these last few months. I just started watching the WWE again summer of last year. I can't believe they originally wanted to book Bryan/Sheamus at WM30 and expect nobody to care.

Well these TNA talent won't be at the tapings tonight for the next 4 weeks:

It is confirmed from those in Orlando that Daniels, Kazarian and Chris Sabin were all not there nor scheduled for TV.

With No Sabin I guess Alpha Female didn't come over and if you believe Manik tweets he isn't going to be there as well. Also, you can get all this new talent but with Russo or someone copying Russo booking it isn't going to go well.

Didn't know you tuned into Impact, unless you're just curious about tonight's show.

I had heard that Brittany was an indie talent and former Orlando Jordan girl. I hope they book her well and give her talk time. It would be nice to have the following women in the Knockouts division:

-Gail Kim
-Madison Rayne
-Lei'd Tapa
-Alpha Female
-Velvet Sky
-Brittany

Sounds like Tessmacher is on her way out, so a division with these six (if Tapa actually improves) could be quite good. It already surpasses the Divas division.

Why the hell would anyone want Velvet Sky anywhere near their women's division

I'm so frustrated with TNA not using Manik on TV. It's like he shat in their cereal or there are some backstage politics going on. He's a genuine talent who could be a big part of the X Division.

I'll miss Kaz and Daniels making me laugh over the next few weeks. :( And Sabin was just getting into a good sleazy groove too.

I check out the PPVs occasionally, but this will be the first time I've watched Impact since...Taz joining Aces & Eights, iirc. As long as the wrestling's good as there's nothing too Russo-riffic, I'm sure it'll be fun. NXT looks pretty freaking dull this week, as well.

I'm so glad Sunny got WM23. Bootista and Taker and an exceptional amount of Vince gifs.

Yeah you don't wanna see my gif timing spots for Vince gifs.

It's fuggin glorious. Billionaire vs Billionaire!

My only fear is that it will be a promo heavy show with Bully, Roode, MVP, Joe, Abyss, Magnus, Spudd, and maybe EC3 all needing/getting mic time. If it's compelling then whatever, but I'd like to see some good action. Expecting matches for the following wrestlers:

-Sanada
-Brittany
-Wolves...hopefully

Aaaaand, not sure who else really. Wonder what the main event will be. I fully expect a 3 or 4 match show.

There are 7 or 8 top notch ones just from the video package alone. And then during the match, EVERY reaction shot of him is a great gif. Even without taking the head shaving into consideration. And the part of the show where he's telling Steph and HHH's baby what he's going to do to Trump. In baby talk. With the camera inside the stroller.

Lol you gyus are watching TNA after Joe got sucked into a black hole and Boby lashly .

Amazingly enough, never.
I think wrestlers realise exposure is good for them, regardless of what it is and big-name wrestlers have got much better things to do than message/vlog/tweet/tumblr/vine about some little Brit and his video series.
The only really negative feedback I've received indirectly was Zandig.
I had hoped to get an intro or lever pull from him at the last ever Viking Hall show as he'd returned for one last match, however he wasn't there during the pre-show. DJ Hyde later told me that Zandig hates two things in his career: The BJPW match where he held a car back with his AMERICAN STRENGTH and the JESUS promo.
Hyde told me a story that he met Zandig in a restaurant and started the conversation with ''Hey Zandig....JESUS!'' to which Zandig allegedly replied ''don't ever fucking do that again.''
So if I had met him and asked for an intro, Zandig would have been the only wrestler I've met to have reacted badly. And kill me on camera.

It was one match out of an entire PPV. The PPV also had very good contests between the following:

-Manik vs. Tigre Uno
-Gail Kim vs. Madison Rayne
-Gunner vs. Storm
-Wrestle-1 vs. TNA

And an okay Lethal Lockdown.

I'm watching to see if Eeyore, Piglet & Christopher Robin ever managed to get Joe out of Rabbit's hole.

Fucking lol. Also, I love that he hates the BJW match where he pushes the car. It was a really amazing moment, but those whole BJW/CZW shows were just fucking nuts from start to finish. Genuinely one of my all-time favourite years in wrestling.
