It seems like it's going to be significantly harder to catch up to people now with the changes to the item system/distribution. Seeing stuff like a single green shell in fourth, single mushroom even lower, etc. instead of very frequently getting extremely powerful weapons.

They definitely made the blue shell way less frequent which is nice. Triple red shells are going to be amazing in this game.

Played about 6 hours yesterday and this game is soooooo good. Also one of the best looking console games ever.

The best thing is that blue shell is so greatly nerfed, it's almost useless now and bad players just can't win anymore by using overpowered items. No more mindless item spam.

When I track mine it says that it is being processed by RM. Don't think it has been sent yet though, but am hoping

Just chatted with Amazon.de and they guarentee that it will arrive on friday.

Steelbook edition over early Saturn edition...I will have to contain my hpye until friday

I ordered from coolshop.dk. It's holiday thursday and friday here, so they shipped it yesterday. Just got a message that it's at the post office ready to be picked up :D

Order status changed to 'will be dispatched shortly'. So I'll probably get it on Friday. Meh I had hoped Amazon would dispatch Tuesdays because of the holiday but oh well.... Can't wait for the steel book :p

Yup, I ordered from Elgiganten and they had the same line of thought - mine arrived this morning aswell.

Never been this hyped for a game before, funny consider a few months back I had no interest in a Wii U. Seems others are buying one just for this game too (and the promise of smash). Believe!


Waiting on Tesco to deliver the goods. Work is gonna drag on friday/saturday :(

Mines still stuck at "processing" which is really annoying. I usually go with ShopTo to get things a touch early but this time they are late compared to everywhere else.

Check on the Shopto app if you have it, mine says despatched on there

If its Signed for what does the Tracking link say?

Got my dispatch mail from amazon.de at 11am yesterday. With any luck, I'll be playing MK8 tonight and all through tomorrow's holiday. Hype bulging.

How are they slow? Shopto almost always take payment Tuesday night and then dispatch on the Wednesday and the game arrives for the Thursday.

1. I asked this a couple of days ago and got no response, so I'm going to ask again:

2. My friend tipped me off about a local mom and pop he gets early releases from. I contacted them, and they said they'll have MK8 available to buy on Thursday. :D Still super jealous of other people who have gotten this even earlier though! I need my Wario online dominance to start going.

Last night I topped up my balance on the eShop to cover it. I'm so hype it hurts.

Of course, the only game in the promo I don't own is Wii Party U. So there's that.

I know they almost always do, this is why I usually use them. Always been extremely happy about them in the past.

But this time, they don't even seem to have taken my payment yet. Wonder if it's all done manually and they have so many to get through.

If it says processing it means that payment has been taken, otherwise it would be still in the pre orders section.

My payment was taken yesterday morning

Press A to accelerate, use triggers to drift and throw shit. No way around it !

Just finished the 50cc Mushroom Cup. Thwomp Ruins is great, by far my favorite track of that cup. But 50cc is sooo slow and easy, maybe I shouldn't have started with it.

Also the way I figure it, you're going to want 3 stars on all the 50cc cups eventually, so might as well get them out the way first.

Hmm...it seems you can collect coins in Time Trial mode now.

Edit: To be clear, coins to unlock stuff. Coins in general were already in the Time Trial mode of MK7.
