EW has learned the Marvel superhero drama will change showrunners for its next round. Scott Buck (Dexter) is stepping down from the top writing gig on the show with Raven Metzner (Sleepy Hollow, Falling Skies) being hired to fill the top slot.

Man, it's almost like you'd have to see an episode of the show to understand why they're forced to team up.The other thing that makes Defenders a hard sell for me is that the involvement for half of the characters seem kinda flimsy. Danny makes perfect sense in a story about the Hand, Elektra's apparent resurrection gives them material for Matt... but why are Jessica and Luke there? Except for the fact that they both live in New York, they have no ties to the conflict. In a post-Avengers world, this isn't enough for me. It's kinda how I felt about Ant-Man being incorporated in the larger MCU and it's gonna be interesting to see how the Russos tackle this in Avengers 3 and 4, if at all. Shit like this reeks of corporate mandated crossover. Which is kind of a given, I guess, I just wish they gave us a few bursts of Febreeze. The second Justice League trailer playing to "Come Together" was the most cynical shit ever.
Love those posters.
Hooray, Buck can now focus solely on ruining the Inhumans.

I mean, nothing in JJ and LC sets them up to deal with the Hand. I'd be surprised if it's more than "you guys also live in New York and you have superpowers". That's why I said flimsy reasons.
Inhumass. Please use their real name.
In all honesty, I'm still kinda looking forward to Inhumass. Maybe it'll be decent or maybe it'll be fun to watch in a slow motion trainwreck kinda way. That being said, I haven't been able to make time to watch most of this season of Agents of Shield so I have trouble believing I'll make time for Inhumass.(probably the latter)
Claire appears in Daredevil, Season 1.
"I really like this character!"
Claire appears in Jessica Jones.
"Oh, that's a bit coincidental...but still, neat!"
Claire appears in Luke Cage.
"Again? This is getting a bit silly."
Claire appears in Iron Fist.
"Oh, for fuck's sake..."
They shoehorned her in SO hard in Iron Fist, and then she never left. First time I got tired of her character.
Ugh, guys, Thanos is the other way.
Yeah, I really like Rosario Dawson and I really liked that character, but her constant re-appearances just made the Netflix universe feel ten times smaller.
It should feel small. It's literally all in the same neighborhood. That's the point.
Harlem isn't in the same neighborhood as Hell's Kitchen.
I'm not gonna have a semantic argument over the word neighborhood.
Then don't misuse the word literally.
It's not Scott Buck, so I'll allow it.
