Struggling to find any differences between Dev preview 8.1 and cyan on my 625, but hopefully it will be a bit more stable and quicker.

There won't be any really. The latest dev preview will be the same as what is rolling out. Any actual changes that Cyan brings like camera improvements, seem limited to the 1520, Icon, 1020.

Just post it in an Android thread.

You don't know how much I'd love to do that. Just for shit and giggles.

it's OT, OT Community is after 3 months or something.

I think OT, and it will eventually be moved? Or is that not how this is done anymore?

Thanks. There was a time when I would get excited about creating a new official thread, but I feel kinda embarrassed to post this one in OT. Oh well.

Will be ready in few hours. Sort of. I hope. I mean, I finished the header image last night. Now that that's done, I can write the rest of the OT!

Now, could someone please translate me that damn sentence to proper French?!

I speak French. (it's where my username comes from)

Formally:
"Comprends, s'il vous plaît."

You don't say it the other way around like google translate suggests, and the conjugation of the irregular verb "Comprendre" (to understand) should be in the imperative form since the verb's action in the phrase "Please understand" is making a request/demand (if you were to remove "please" it would be a demand). You shouldn't use the unconjugated/infinitive form "Comprendre" in this case.

You could also use the less formal version of "please":
"Comprends, s'il te plaît."

Don't forget the little hat accent on the î in plaît!

That said, the phrases above sound kind of "awkward" when you translate the expression directly like that.

You might be better off saying:
"Veuillez comprendre"

I think that sounds better, personally.

to the OT, for the lost souls that moved over there to maybe find their way back, and in return have a link to Android OT from the new WP OT for those who want a way out?

I dunno, just a thought :)

But I haven't posted it yet. It's still under testing.

Thank you very much. I think I'll go with veuillez comprendre, then. You just delayed the OT for another 30 minutes.

I can only hope. Still have freezes/reboots while swiping and sluggish performance, not to mention the inconsistent "clear notification/tile" behavior.

Yesterday I got a "Resuming..." screen when I pressed the Start button...!

I had the resuming and notifications issues happen on my 8X yesterday and I was like "seriously?". They need to churn these GDR updates out quicker.

Guys, what would be the correct translation of "Please understand" in French? I don't want to use Google translate for that and then be wrong.

comprendre s'il vous plait

According to a friend that knows some French. According to him, s'il vous plait should be after, not before, as Google Translate translates it.

You need to conjugate comprendre.

It's either comprenez s'il vous plaît or veuillez comprendre.

Source: I'm French.

There is an app out now called Musik, which can play Xbox music DRM files. Works nice enough. It is pretty basic currently however.

never heard about the cat, apparently

Microsoft recently released a xbox music api so we should start to see more pop up.

Speaking of apps, I have

Files
Reading List
Video Tuner
Remote Desktop
Authenticator
NextGen Reader
myTube
6sec
6tag
Facebook Beta

on my wall of apps in the OT.

Anything else I should add?

Multishare integrates into the Me tile and has more features than the old hardcoded setup.

Someone already mentioned Baconit, but Readit is also worth a suggestion.

Nokia Storyteller
Poki (pocket client)

Quick request for the Storyteller app since I believe you mentioned knowing the dev, can they do facial detection on the photos and base the zoom and movement around that? My wife was complaining about it cutting off the most important aspects of some of the photos.

I have an HTC 8X (I know, it's not a Lumia, I wasn't aware that non-Lumias are ass) Starting about an hour or two ago, I can no longer send texts properly. I would send one, and then two minutes later, I receive a "Can't send: (whatever I just texted). Try again" error.

Repeatedly trying it again doesn't work. After searching the web, I've found a work around, which is cycling my airplane mode on and then off. This allows me to successfully send one text. However, it seems like I have to do this for ever text I want to send.

It's quite annoying, and I think I'm going to have to call support tomorrow.

If anyone has any advice, that'd be appreciated.
