Tried Kitty while everyone else was getting their Fist on over the weekend.
Running a slightly unconventional Dragon/Phasing build to take advantage of a Power Cosmic and Doop runeword. I've stacked up unaware damage with not 1 but 2 cloaking devices (reg and adv) and a cosmic Loki medallion, all up giving me over 2000 damage to unaware targets. I use Non Corporeal Beatdown as my main spender with a midtown ring for the damage buff. Given she is constantly phasing behind enemies, you get a lot of bang for your buck with all the unaware damage. Also running Groot as a team-up to take as much attention away as possible.
Passed the trial 1st time with my PC at level 3 (so no physical dmg buff) and only 2 slots at 69. And when I say I passed, she absolutely snoozed it in. MAYBE needed 1 health pack.
Whats funny was, I only put the cloaking devices on her because I was low on regular ghetto artis to give her (kung fus, xerogens etc) and it turned her into a beast. I was a little worried going in. I like the hero, but hadn't heard a lot of good stuff about her, but like Blade, even if she doesn't re-invent the wheel, shes still very, very capable.
Also I'm doing a prestige of Ms Captain Marvel, or whatever his/her name is so I can try finish off the Kingpin cheevo (she had been sitting at green 1 for a looooonng time). Yikes does she feel soooo outdated. I generally enjoy levelling characters, but I'm really struggling with her. Had to stop yesterday around 43, because I figured it will be much easier while Midtown Madness is running.
TL;DR Kitty fo real with a fun slightly unintentional build - Cap'n Marvel needs an update. May be effective, but he/she ain't fun
