Who?
Marvel needs to stop cramming every C tier shitty Marvel property nobody's ever heard of down our throats.
Why they didn't do shit when an IA almost ended humanity, or when Thanos killed half of the universe? Someone has a response (even if it's a potential spoiler)? And who or what is the bad guy here?
Anyway the trailer is meh and did nothing to me but it's a first look, I'm sure (or at least I hope) it's gonna be better with a story trailer. Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry and Ma Dong-Seok are not believable at all imo.
Good photography and a nice use of natural lights, as expected with Chloé Zhao.
Also yeah that last joke was a little bit cringe.
Why would a few GODs have a "traditional earth meal" together? Why are they so colloquial and not more "formal, ceremonial"? If these are supposed to be GODs, can´t they act as such?
There was an antagonist in Antman and the Wasp.In the comics the Eternals had their memories and identities taken away so this is what might happen in the film. It probably will but why is a villain required? Ant-Man and the Wasp worked without a villain. Not sure why you feel the actors aren't working for you, they are basically gods, not super heroes.

I am thinking of the woman that had some kind of power. Forgettable movie really but I do vaguely remember her.Walter Goggins as Sonny Burch? Oh please.

Other than to try and kill the main characters…Ghost.
She was in pain and dying. She wanted to stop the pain and live. She didn't do anything evil or bad, she just wanted to save herself.
And she was quite plainly adversarial throughout the film regardless of her motivations or desires.Ghost.

Ah yeah I see, let's hope it's done well and don't sound like a big retcon. In the comics the Eternals had their memories and identities taken away so this is what might happen in the film. It probably will but why is a villain required? Ant-Man and the Wasp worked without a villain. Not sure why you feel the actors aren't working for you, they are basically gods, not super heroes.
Well I hope they lost their memories because if they just be like "Meh, they can handle it" it's freaking bullshit. I don't buy that. They most likely knew the Avengers could handle it .. which they did.
Considering the downtime was only 5 years for the people that got snapped away and the Emortals have been around for probs Hundreds Thousand of Years it was most likely a blip for them.
Looks boring and narration was contradicting itself, we have not interfered but also said we have guided humans since beginning! Not exact quote but ugh!
Here is a great video detailing history of the Eternals.
Nobody cares about this shit.
Bring the fucking Xmen to the big screen for real. With Cajun gambit and sexy accent Rogue.
Now you're talking!
I was a massive comics nerd in my teens, had a massive collection (studied them, hoping to get into art-school for college) and I have zero recollection of The Eternals at all. Maybe they weren't a big thing back then but I used to scour the comic shelves and don't remember them at all.
That video though just left me more confused. What a convoluted mess.
Nothing in that trailer screamed fantastic. It looked like boring trash, but that's just my opinion and to be fair, there really isn't that much to go on in the trailer
Why do you think it looked fantastic? We've had so many films that haven't been the standard cape flick, so what makes this one stand out.

How many more Xmen movies do we need? I know they're going to reboot them under the Feige regime, but if there is any superhero troupe we've seen more than enough of, it's the fucking Xmen.Nobody cares about this shit.

OTOH, The Eternals allows a bridge to the cosmic side of the Marvel universe, which has proven to be pretty damn compelling. It's kinda what made the Infinity Saga so good. The stuff happening on Earth is all well and good, but a good interstellar baddie goes a long way in upping the stakes. Also, as another user above noted, if Galactus is this next Saga's end boss, then it's gonna take more than the Xmen and Fantastic 4 to combat that. So having some pseudo-gods in the mix will help to balance the scales ala Thor and Captain Marvel.
baby thanos
What do you call the opposite of an erection?
That's what I got after watching this.
and woman in the show about androids.
she is a good actor but helping to carry a movie, following a legacy of big names and films is no easy task. Most people will know her from Crazy Rich Asians.
Seriously Humans was a great show and she turned in a great performance. But yeah, a British show is not going to travel well but check it out it's solid.

it's not just a case of putting in big names, they need a good story, character driven with decent dialogue. if this is handing the torch over, this trailer doesn't inspire confidence.
You had loads of good actors Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johanssen, Jeff Bridges, Bensinaditch Cucumberpatch etc. who turned in good performances and are a big part of why the films worked.
Now we get a couple of guys from Game of Thrones, the coder from Silicon Valley and woman in the show about androids. Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayak looking as if they're on valium.
Was looking for the scene in GOTG when they showed a Celestial and came across this.
Bit convoluted as well but does seem to have some logic that Galactacus may be the new Thanos through the Eternals.
After all they do have Fantastic 4 and the Silver Surfer to use now and this video is over a year old.
gets the audience interested rather than having a group of unknowns, especially when the trailer is boring and based on space influencers / models guiding humanityIf the actors are good, why does it matter if they are big names or not?
