Does anyone else occasionally get games where it feels like the game is going 3 times faster than it should?

I've been getting this a lot lately, is this some turbo bullshit going on?

There is a turbo option available in player matches only, I believe. I remember playing a match that was definitely super sped up, but after I messaged the guy about it he told me that he didn't notice anything. So, turbo could have been on or maybe there is some weird lag issue.

Yeah, but this is in ranked matches, and tends to be happening during Sentinel / Cable jerkbag matches :lol

No idea then. Could just be a weird lag issue. Hopefully no one figured out how to make it lag like that deliberately.

Ok my suggestion would be to stop doing that for a while, at least until you have a better grasp of what's going on most of the times. Pick a team, and roll with it for a while, get used to some of the game mechanics and then come back.

I think some people might be able to do something about lag, but I'm not sure how. Same stuff happened to me in SSF2THDR, when I was losing agaisnt some people it was ok, then at my comeback it would start to lag. I mentioned a magneto slideshow here, but I guess that's just me being far away(South America).

I have experienced something similar on MvC2, sometimes it's like the game is going faster(between turbo 1 and 2) and there's also input lag. No idea why tho. Back on the HDR days last year my brother was trying to explain it and came up with this theory about people having torrents on pause on their PCs and uneashing them if they were losing.

Short version: I have no idea why it happens, but I've been there too.

Let's hope for the best... on HD remix I had 15% of the matches going well and when they started to lose, lag kicked in...

Sorry, this question must have been asked quite a few times but how is the port on PS3 ? Any annoying bugs or is it okay overall ? I'm not wanting a perfect port, just something that plays well.

It's fine. I've experienced some online connection issues, mainly in the opening days the game was out. Apart from that, it looks nice (probably looks even better on an HDTV, which I don't have), and it plays very well.

Looking for some online comp on this from GAF. I main MSP and I use Team Scrub occasionally. Team shoto is my screw-around team.

I'm slightly below average at this game. I've been watching the game for years at tourneys and at evo so i'm going off what I've picked up through watching. Trying to apply all that stuff and learning as I go. I have a good local Marvel scene but school has been keeping me from these gatherings lately so I'm forced to play online for now. My list might be full but I'm gonna do some friends list cleaning in a bit.

I think this game has been great on PSN so far; especially, when you contrast and compare it to King of Fighters. *Barf*

My only gripe about this game is that the port looks to have taken out medium attacks. It's all short and fierce strikes. I'm and old Arcade rat, so I was proud of my eight button chain air combos. But alas, the arcade version will always hold a special place in my heart. There is something to be said about being able to look the jackass in the face who does some bullshit infinity Magneto/ Sentinel / Black Heart combos.

Personally, I've been getting owned online. It's my own fault really. I've demanded that I use Dan, so there is the problem. :lol

For some reason though I've really been into using Capitan America, Ken and Zangief. It Seems to be working, as I've won a few matches today.

If anyone it looking for some comp on PS3, hit me up for a friend request.

4 attack buttons and 2 assist buttons is the standard mvc2 setup. MvC1 had 6 attack buttons, though. That's probably what you're thinking of. This is pretty much an arcade perfect port without the Gambit glitch.

FINALLY!!! I'll add you so we can play sometime... at what time you're online the most?(and with a 360 near, I'm not talking about work)

I used MSP on the early days but switched to Mags/Storm/Cyke to have a better chance against Sent-centric/keepaway teams. As of now, due to craptastic lag I'm ONLY using Spiral/Servbot/Capcom.

I wouldn't mind playing with you on Live. But I'm so rusty and I hate the 360 controller for this game. I can't pull off Jill/Gambit/Chun-Li's move with consistency like I could with the old X-box S-type controller anymore! :lol

Shoot a friend request to "Sekoku" with a date/time(s) in a text message. I'll try to make it around then. Again, I'm rusty. It's been a good five years since I played MvC2 to the point of remembering things. With the 360 controller I'm going to suck hardcore, but it can't hurt to play. :lol

Was the bridge level on the Dreamcast version as bad as it is in this new edition (it's the one with random black and white patches on 16:9 mode)? I'm playing it on 4:3 mode but it still seems that Capcom forgot to finish drawing the rest of the level!
