My gamestop is doing a midnight! I've never gone to one before but I've driven past one once and almost drove into some Xbox hooligans. Oh yea, guess I have to buy a new ps3 this weekend too. GO!
 
Playing on pad isn't a real disadvantage unless you are needing to do piano type crap, even then it's possible with practice. Now if you can learn how to use that hitbox thing... that's an ADVANTAGE above every other means of playing... D: microsecond input hax
 
Curious, is it kosher to talk about street date breaking here? I actually couldn't find anything in the rules.

Mind you, I'm talking about physically acquiring the game and the discussion thereof.
 
I should make a comment about this PSN community thing in the OP. Problem is that I am at the character limit already so I have to make it brief. But I will mention it somewhere in the beginning so people won't miss it.

It's about people legitimately purchasing copies of a game, so why not?

Hey, just making sure. I'm just letting you all know, word on the street is "Thursday" for any place that will get a copy on the east coast that will break street date. Call your mom and pop shops then fellas. I assume the distance means West Coasters may be able to acquire a legal copy as soon as tomorrow morning. Keep your eyes peeled.
 
Fuck, Amazon's not doing same day shipping anymore... If any small shops are breaking this out early on the West Coast, I need to known :-|
 
Does anyone have any thoughts/recommendations on the Tekken 6 stick? I'm trying to find a relatively inexpensive controller for this and the T6 stick sounds alright from what I've read.

HORRIBLE. The experience I've had with the 360 wireless T6 hori stick is fucking terrible.

R1 button was fucked up from start. The joystick felt slow and clumsy and the overall weight of the stick was terrible. I regret the $20 I spent on it.
 
I'm getting release date delivery through Amazon from the PS3 SE. The problem is my girlfriend's birthday is also on the 15th. I know I won't be able to play until Wednesday.

There's still time to break up with her.

I passed that hype level in December. I just got confirmation that my vacation day request was approved.today so ya, next Tuesday is all Mahvel baby!!!

Thursday/Friday sounds right to me as far as most major retailers getting in their copies so they can sell them on street date.

If you want a invite to psn chat. You should send the friend request to the members already in it with "MVC3 PSN Chat" in the letter body.
Much easier that way.

Another reason it's better to send friend request yourself is that if the person see your invite request on this thread and sends you a friend invite he may forget when you accept later. When the person can add and send you a link in one step it's much easier.

At the end of the day im a SF player.

SSF 4 will still be my BnB and i'll play in tournaments till SF5 comes out. And im sure the community we have here as well as the tournament community will still be strong.

But im also taking marvel 3 incredibly seriously, gotta get ready for reveLAtion and EVO. So i'll still be juggling both.
 
Street date breaking has been a godsend for me. For the past 3 years I've gotten every major release the thurs-sat before the release date, I haven't preordered a game in so long. For the record I work in Newark and I hear we'll be having very nice weather on Friday
 
I'll be working all the way up until the 15th. There's almost no point in sniffing around for a store breaking street. That and the fact that I have the SE on release date delivery from Amazon.

Not so glowing. Any thoughts on a stick or pad for 360 besides the TE? $150 is a bit much for me to spend on a peripheral for a single game.

If you can find a SE for cheap, its actually the best option to just get that and mod it with quality parts. Same experience and quality in a smaller and potentially cheaper package.

Well you can use it for all the fighting games. SF, MvC and MK at the very least.

I have two, it's a great investment but the SE version is great as well.
