I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've had release date delivery items being shipped only the day before release and still get it in time.

There is no slippery slope here. Friday is the best day for release.

Hell, he can do all boxart for all their games for all I care. Guy is supremely talented.
 
speakin of gettin it urley there's a VG shop close to where i live...i have a feeling that they got it urley but im too lazy to actually drive there and ask them.

It was meant more to be a joke, but I don't have a problem with Tuesday releases and don't really see any reason to change it. I guess some people have an issue maybe with getting a game and not having time to play it until the weekend, but I don't know.
 
Those of you who haven't gotten the game from Capcom yet, did you order the SE or the CE? I wonder if it's the CE that they haven't sent out yet.

Yeah that is pretty much where I am at...I can usually get an hour or two in on a weekday but with a game that I want on day one (like this one) I would like to dig a little deeper into it and a Friday night would be open to many hours of goodness...

I recall once upon a time walking into a store on a Friday (major retailer) and seeing something on the shelves that didn't come out until Tuesday. Since one major retailer had already broken street date, it was available everywhere apparently.

I wish that could apply to situations like this.

I put in for leave for that Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday. Now, Wednesday I have to go mail my buddy in UAE his copy of the game and XBOX and Thursday I have to go to the immigration offices in Charleston, but I will have plenty of time to play.


Did anyone preorder the game guide? I know it's not something that is really needed, even if it does have frame data in it, but it seemed like it might be something cool to have. I just wish I could see it to see if there was any cool artwork in it. And I wish there was a soundtrack in it. I still have my two copies of the SFIII book with the soundtrack in it. I forget how much the MvC3 book is on Amazon, but it was cheap for a good minute.

I did. :D And it's still $11.55 on Amazon. Capcom-Unity put up a small preview on it too.

No. Release date shipping is done the day before and sent via overnight shipping.

No need to keep refreshing that Amazon page all weekend.
 
I love this game like nobody's business, but for my life, I don't know how anyone plays it for more than an hour or so. I get a headache from the visual and aural craziness.

AKuma raging demon goes through fireballs and divekick is an overhead. Thank you lawd!!!!

And his divekick assist is an overhead that causes ground bounce on hit.

Oh man, don't say this. After losing my touch in Smash (Brawl) and having portions of DKCReturns test my ability to see and process information fast, this might be the first valid concern for myself getting amazing in this game. :(

Still gonna play the fuck out of it either way.

Was playing it with a busted PS3 pad against the guys there at the store, FUCK it's good.

But you really have to throw away your MvC2 experience if you're like me, have to keep remembering the universal launcher, but it clicked after like 10 matches or so.

I'm gonna go and get cozy in the lab, it's gonna be a looooooooooooooong night.
