The hilarious thing about it was the fact that player match on LIVE was flooded with that team within 15 minutes after I read about it on GAF.Dahbomb said:Anyone got a link to that tournament of J Wong? I need to see this shit in action. I was aware of Wolverine's untapped potential for quite some time but pairing him with Akuma is almost genius level stuff here.
Haggar assist and pipe god tier? I needed this stream in my body YESTERDAY!

I'm doing Iron Man's mission #7. It's : crouching L, M, standing H, then partner 2. WTF? partner 2 comes out too late. Maybe there's some trick I'm missing.Teknoman said:Do you mean when switching out during air combos? I think you have to just get a few hits in for it to register as an air combo, then just press a direction and S for the change. For some reason I kept trying to press the assist buttons instead of S.
Also having fun with "Team Bulletstorm" Dante, Deadpool, and Chris.
You have to do call partner earlier in anticipation of it hitting between the standing H and the next move.DRE Fei said:I'm doing Iron Man's mission #7. It's : crouching L, M, standing H, then partner 2. WTF? partner 2 comes out too late. Maybe there's some trick I'm missing.

What is everyone using?
I know Hulk and Sent have an OTG, but I thought you were saying that Haggar with one would make him overpowered or something. I was wondering since Sent and Hulk have one, how would Haggar having an OTG make him OP? But I see what you meant now, and I guess not giving him one is a strategic omission, same with Spidey not having one.MThanded said:Sent and hulk both have an otg move. Just saying it would be a nice addition. Haggar and dat pipe were wrecking last night. Hopefully level up stream gets posted so we can see Floe wielding the pipe.

Ryu sucks
Chris seems low tier for now
Zero has some nice range and can combo pretty easily

Why are you using your upper arm?MThanded said:Does anyone in this thread have broad shoulders? I do and I have a problem doing shoryuken motions when I am facing right. My arms are already so far bent in that I have a problem slamming into the corner for the final direction of the motion.
Killa Sasa said:For right now, I'm running Spidey
Spidey gets a fast assist in EM Disruptor, and an OTG for resets/extender as well as easy unblockable setup thanks to web zip and ankle slicer. It's easy to land hits with him because he can alter his patterns in so many ways, and he can run like an MFer. Really versatile character.
Those sticks build the lever close the the buttons according to Japanese arcade spec (Well, the Madcatz layout is actually custom, but still similar enough to a Vewlix control panel layout). I have seen some folks just build their own custom sticks with the lever set farther apart from the buttons to accommodate them better.MThanded said:Does anyone in this thread have broad shoulders? I will probably need to spend a few days just attempting these motions in training just so I can always get them out. My last resort would be a custom or a premade with the buttons and stick further out.
I have a VSHG on the ps3 and a TE(1st gen) stick on the 360.
This has been a problem I have had for quite some time.

The angles my arms are at make it harder to use my lower arm correctly. If the arm is really far bent in how do you get the lower right position easilyHitokage said:Why are you using your upper arm?

Kimosabae said:Are you new to stick? Sounds like you need more time training on it. I'd surprised if your shoulders were much broader than mine. The trick to using stick is to finesse it with the fingers and wrist. The more shoulder involved, the less accurate your inputs will be.
I wanna say that it's winning the game based on health by not attacking at all in the last couple of seconds, but that's just a wild guess.DoomXploder7 said:i just noticed in stats there is a cheap wins stat what qualifies as a cheap win for that stat?
I think that usually means if you do chip damage to the other person for the win.DoomXploder7 said:i just noticed in stats there is a cheap wins stat what qualifies as a cheap win for that stat?
I've tried that and it still doesn't work._dementia said:You have to do call partner earlier in anticipation of it hitting between the standing H and the next move.
MThanded said:Yeah i have been working on my grip. I think my grip is just not right(more fingers and less foream arm motion is needed). I started using a stick when SC4 came out but I got serious about it when vanilla SF4 came out.
Its less of a problem in sf4 because the pace of the game is slower but versus games are a different beast.

Mine still says indiana. fail. Stuck on ps3 for now.DarkCloud said:Capcom's tracking link shows my order as still residing in Indiana while Just going to USPS tracking page directly and inputting my tracking number shows that it arrived at my post office this morning. Of course it would show up the day I have to go back to work.
So for those seeing no sign of movement on Capcom's tracking link go manual. May get better results than just in transit from Indiana.
Just keep trying at different times. I remember having to call an assist for one of my Tron missions and I always needed to call it out as soon as I began taking the rock out of the ground in order to hit. Took me a long time.DRE Fei said:I've tried that and it still doesn't work.
I read a post from someone on here suggesting you have to call the assist at the same time as the previous attack input so you're basically pressing assist and attack at the same time although I haven't tried it myself yet because i'm still trying to learn individual combo's at the moment.DRE Fei said:I've tried that and it still doesn't work.
Alucrid said:Do octo gates make it easier than square ones? Or is it just a matter of me learning not to ride the gate as much?
Many people claim that octogates are good "training wheels" for learning Jp sticks and then they move to square... but if you simply train yourself to not ride the gate ou can skip the octo. I recommend sticking with square since it is stock and has some advantages over octo.Alucrid said:Do octo gates make it easier than square ones?
