I actually really like the idea of Dust being in too. She seems pretty awesome powers-wise.

Still, I think with the DLC it would be a bit silly to use lesser known characters, wouldn't it? Since they're not included in the package, there needs to be good incentive for anyone to pick them up.

A shame when you look at it that way, though.
 
I'm late because I had to run a Black Ops tournament, but I did manage to see Ryry put the beats on folks and save Empire. The final finish was ridiculous.
 
I don't think Jill is done at all. The gun super isn't doing anything, and I remember somebody saying that she doesn't even have all her audio clips or something?

Shuma looks to be much further along at the very least.

It's timed release for everyone, those you see in the video are hacked and incomplete, they will be available for SE and non SE consumers alike on March 15th.

Yeah, the first person to dig through her files said that she didn't have any tag in lines for when she switches out. (Likewise, no one had any tag-in dialogue for her as well.) However, this video seems to have all of her voice clips intact... so I'm guessing that update from a few days ago might have been more than just prep for the Shadow Mode DLC, like Capcom said.

As much as I want Mr. X to be Dr. Wily I think that it means charles Xavier.

It's supposedly AI modeled after real people. So there could be a Justin Wong shadow and it's totally like you're playing Justin Wong!

Lord Raptor is in Dormammu's, Satannish and Mephisto in Morrigan's, Fing Fang Foom in Arthur's, Kingpin in Chun Li's and Daredevil (as Matt Murdock) in Chris' ending.

That's all that comes to mind.

why would i want that though, i lose enough as it against real people without also being totally annihilated by a Jwong bot.

Thanks muchly, guys. And, I ain't paying for that, Capcom. Just sayin'.

Although I'm still only renting the game, I just ordered the guide off of Amazon. Twelve bucks for a reportedly good 400-pg. guide seemed like a bargain. I'm leaning towards keeping the game anyway.
 
Capcom need to update the game to add spectator mode, replay showcase channel, and an online tournament mode like in SSFIV. Online is straight up bare bones, but Marvel's game-play reigns supreme.

the fact that they launched without a tournament mode or spectator mode is baffling.

we've had BOTH in fighting games since...Dead or Alive 4 at least. I can't remember, but DoA 2:U might have had both as well.

Sorry, but a 2005 fighting game should not be outpacing premiere 2011 releases in features.
 
Chun players, what's with the timing on her tenth mission? I can get the j. L, j. M., j.M, j.H, j.S out just fine, but the standing L, M, H won't connect. Crouching H into j.S etc. is actually really useful, I wanna practice that, but I'm having trouble connecting anything after that j.S. Characters just fall out of the combo.

Yeah, now you can fire it straight up, down(?) or in any diagonal direction. I think you can slightly turn it while its still firing too, but I haven't tried that yet.

Oh yes, the timing after the first jump cancel is a huge bitch. The key is in the LMMHS part (after the Cr. H jump cancel). You HAVE to do the first L and M quick as fuck.

After that I think there are two approaches to finishing that particular string. I think the popular way is to go ahead and do LMMH as fast as possible and delay the S as much as you can. I think I did the LM really fast and then slowly (relatively) did the MHS.

Point being do that string as slow as possible so the opponent can continue to rise in the string which gives you enough time to hit the ground and continue your combo.
 
No stream but recorded some pretty sick matches at Tight or Fight here in NorCal this weekend. Some real killers out there already.. Fchamp won it, Crizzle got 3rd, I got 5th, yadda yadda...

Didnt use sent the entire tourney and blew up a ton. looool

ill upload the matches soon. there is some really good shit.

I activated xfactor before starting the combo and had LMH connect more often

I had to delay the j. S after the j.H and it worked good for me.
 
I guess I'll use XFC to blow through the mission and collect her crappy title, but it's something I'd like to practice so I can use in real matches. When I'm not busy getting blown up, anyway.

Thanks for the help. I'll try that LMMH, delay, S out and see how that works for me.
 
Any good additions to a Chris/Arthur team? I've been using Sentinel as a filler right now, and my rank/win rate has never been better, but damn, I really want to use someone else.
 
So tonight I learned the hard way that I actually do need to step up my game against Sentinel and especially Phoenix. I can wipe the floor with 90% of the fools on Live using either of them as a crutch, but against someone who actually knows how to play defense? I'm pretty fucked.

Time to hit the lab.

Second: go to training mode, damn it. Try out the characters yourself.
