It seems like (at least on PSN), there is a noticable line in rank difference, except all the high rank players suck, but know how to abuse the games brokeness, whilst all the low rank ones just suck.
Is this code for: "I feel I should beat everyone, and those who beat me are just cheap".
Some characters are just bullshit such as Chun-Li (invincible legs to all but hyper combos)
What character do you play that cannot punish leg spam?
Wolverine (infinite mixups and spam berserker barrage to keep you literally unable to move from blockstun and advancing guard doesn't work because it moves him forward)
Berserker Barrage is not safe on block.
Dante (A billion moves and all people use are 3 of them)
Awesome, so your opponents only know a few aspects of a diverse character - easy win for you, right?
Wesker (Teleport, shoot, teleport, shoot etc.)
So your opponent is doing a very unsafe and predictable series, and that makes the character broken? You can punish the teleport on reaction; it's actually one of the games slower teleports.
People still mash c. light in this game, but in this, they can get 70% damage on a character from it.
I don't even understand how this is a criticism. You're complaining that crouching light attacks...exist? Or...what?
Easy as hell execution (You though Blazblue was easy? Hah. The hardest this game gets is a HCB)
Easy execution is a bad thing? It's good to have difficult execution in a game just for the sake of difficult execution? Plenty of characters require a ton of execution to play - Morrigan, for example.
Worst of all, though, Capcom's response to this is "Hey guys, who wants to buy some new characters and costumes? Only $5"
Actually, it was "we will patch in Spectator Mode later, and we are working on fixing the matchmaking system". But hey, it's a lot more fun to just complain about everything, right?
Very Hard is driving me up the fucking wall. I do okay against real players (something like a 60% win rate, which includes my roommate's losses who isn't adapting very well from street fighter). I whiff a L from full screen, and I get a beam super on reaction. The fuck? I can usually make it to stage 05 or so before I start losing hard. I tried using Sentinel and cheesing them out, but I don't really know what I'm doing with Sent at all. His launcher is armored, right? I've just been spamming Sentinel Force, and beams, then using launcher and j. S when they get close.
Don't play well against the AI. It's AI. AI will block the most genius cross-ups you can create consistently while forgetting to block against a low attack with 50 frame startup (exaggeration). I beat Arcade Mode with all 36 character on Very Hard this weekend, and in the end I discovered all you really need to do is spam Sentinel's c.M over and over; the computer was apparently never programmed to acknowledge that it has super armor, so the AI just eats it over and over; launch out of it, aerial combo, OTG, HSF, X-Factor, relaunch, aerial combo, OTG, Plasma Charge will kill every single character in this game. Set the timer to 30 seconds and win by time out over and over.
I'm not even sure what to do when someone dry tags. Do they automatically do that jump in attack, or can they block and such during the jump on screen?
They always do their little jump-in attack, and then they do a taunt. So block the attack, and then punish the taunt.
358/360 Mission combos completed.
Fuck Amaterasu's weapon change. Seriously.
Nice! I'm at 80% completion. It took me 20 minutes to get Amaterasu's first weapon change mission done. It's not even hard to do, so I know her mission 10 will make me sad.
Slow down super makes those a lot easier
Doesn't that mess up training mode? When I was doing Sentinel's mission 10, I failed it twice for X-Factoring before HSF hit, and not after. I figured the system is pretty picky from that.
